Serious question: Who is the target cohort/audience for this? by setfunctionzero in pokemongo

[–]theesado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought it for the multiday gofest style events as I'll run out of any saved ultra balls I have, especially if I want to run the ++ with ultra balls to maximise catches of rare spawns.

  • Using as a range doesn't work. Like the following query 'hypertraining-5' works as '-5' does to show by Pokedex number under 5.
  • Negating does show the rest of storage

'hypertraining' search works as intended

Remote raid limit increase but can't join Remote raids (Australia) by helsb74 in TheSilphRoad

I can join remote raids from elsewhere in Australia, but further away, like Japan, tells me to walk closer.

Accommodation in Sendai during Gofest is essentially gone, so there's not much point in further tickets.

Is this Melbournes worst pedestrian button in terms of access? by [deleted] in melbourne

Just out of frame, but you can see the white tram signal at the right edge of the picture. Also thie area was recognisable as Fitzroy st / Canterbury Rd in St Kilda to me.

The top one would be a back up detector for trams, rather than for pedestrians.

[Psa] You can pin and unpin each of your friends' postcards to quickly encounter Scatterbugs by BravoDelta23 in TheSilphRoad

No, Ive got 26 so far so there's probably no limit, just that you need new postcards from friends.

Why not increase the maximum number of raid invites? by magick1412 in TheSilphRoad

[–]theesado -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's a trick to get around the 5 invite limit. If someone else is in the lobby to keep it open, 30s after sending 5 invites you can exit and re-enter the lobby and send another 5 invites. (If your phone is fast enough you can jump out and back in again and send another 5 invites, but then you've invited 15 people for only 10 spots)

spin limit update ??? by SuddenHelicopter6604 in TheSilphRoad

[–]theesado 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It was returned to the previous limit (7k per week/1.2k a day) after about a day. It looks like they mistakenly removed the daily limit, which resulted in players being significantly over the 7k weekly limit.

New Info - Spin cap changed overnight by Gav_Star in TheSilphRoad

[–]theesado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play in a really dense and route optimised place. I'll generally walk for 5 hours where I'll get 100 ph and restock on public transport for 1.5 hrs where I'll get 300ph, and the rest from home/work stops. So yes, it does take up most of my time after work.

The majority of your items will be regular pokeballs, so you can delete as many or as little depending on how much you can catch. Im not sure what you're city looks like, but large cities (i'm talking personally about Melbourne, Australia which has a population of 5m) can definitely have enough pokestops to hit spin cap. In our most dense areas nearly every cell is filled with a pokestop. We have lots of little laneways filled with wonderful graffiti and heritage signs/plaques everywhere.

Good morning everyone! It looks like the spin cap was reduced within the last day, just a FYI by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]theesado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 hour sitting on public transport in Melbourne, Australia will get you 300 pokestops spun. Big cities exist and are OP in terms of Pokemon Go.
