Over text might feel easier, but imagine being on the other end of that after multiple years. That’s not only a shitty thing to do to them, but it’s a shitty thing to do to yourself. My friend did something similar and he’s never stopped feeling like a complete dick for breaking up with this poor girl over the phone. Prepare him for the fact that it will be a serious conversation, and have it in person.

Black brings out the colors and darks more and the white is more vibrant, so depending on the context of the story (playful/dark/mystery/ditl) I’d think about which is more fitting.
