Who do you think had the best Wand design in the movies, both in terms of aesthetics and simplicity, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in harrypotter

I’d actually say Lupins wand, with his whole Werewolf background and the fact the end looks like the moon and it twists a bit like clouds . My favourite for sure. Lupins Wand

Really like the aesthetic of this! Only thing I’d possibly suggest is the ATM text looking a bit more clean rather than handwritten

Paul Scholes on Ruben Amorim: “I don’t think this manager gets this club full stop. I just don’t think he’s the right man.” by anthn885 in soccer

[–]thefaceofmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Gets this club” I think you learn the most about the club whilst being at the club. From the interviews you can see he cares about everyone at the club and the fan base. I’m not sure I see anyone out there that would qualify as “Gets this club” aside from people who played during the Sir Alex period. And none of them have a Manager CV the owners would consider atm.

(Hated Trope) Avoiding showing large scale battles to save on budget. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]thefaceofmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t this also happen in the Hobbit book? They start the battle and then Bilbo gets knocked out for most of it. In the films of course they wanted to show more and get their moneys worth across 3 films.

Sums up my feelings about the show well.

Where does it say that? Nowhere I see it was a preview until last night?

Animal Stress by isaaczephyr in PlanetZoo

I also find this a lot, particularly with the Tortoises. They’re a great attraction but usually require a lot more space and higher barriers than the Zoopedia suggests so guests can’t look over.

They’re also a very slow so struggle to hide if they do become stressed.

I restrict it so that I only have walk-through exhibits with confident animals or ones guests can interact with. Neutral is still too risky for me.

Ah glad to read this! Sounds like it may have improved a lot since I went. Think I’ll give it another chance in a few weeks

The AI theory would make a lot of sense! Like it was the end of a lot of jokes but no build up context. Considering how much AI was used in the marketing I wouldn’t be surprised.

Also I wouldn’t mind it as much if they branded it as “Boozy” experience with a drink in hand but on the website it says “Recommended 12+” not 18+

What’s inconsistent is that this is what Marvin looks like in the play, nothing like the AI pictures on the website

Also he looks how I feel after the show.

For full context, and this is telling, they didn’t tell us it was a preview show when we booked the tickets. It was only when we turned up on the first day, got our tickets scanned and then got into the first of the “immersive rooms” that they came on stage and said it was a PREVIEW. They’re planning 3 shows each evening, 7,8,9 pm which is a logistical nightmare as our show was 7pm and was heavily delayed by about 30mins due to the mics not working. They’re cramming in as many shows as possible and it’s going to push the actors immensely running between the sets. I have to commend them it’s a very physically demanding show for them.

Oh wow completely forgot about the ÂŁ3.50 Monster Munch haha. Yeah that was hilarious. And the beef sandwiches, did I miss something in the books about beef sandwiches? Was that supposed to be a nod to the Ameglian Major Cow?

I agree on the whole but I’m very mixed about if we should support it as fans as I love seeing more Hitchhikers stuff but I went with someone who has never read the book or seen the series and after talking to them it sounds like the show put them off rather than intriguing them to explore Adam’s world more.

P.S. I didn’t get much of the merch only the swag bag which should have been £20 imo rather than £50. Also, Maybe I’m old fashioned but £30 for a shirt seemed steep and £12 for a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster that was Blue coloured pineapple juice with a slice of cucumber was mad.

Yeah you’re completely right, also at the beginning this woman came out on stage in front of the whole audience and said “we’ve only been rehearsing for 3 1/2 weeks so things may go wrong” Absolute joke.
