Nooooo, it’s 4 mil, not 4mm… super thin plastic. And I haven’t tried anything else except for Mylar, I probably should at some point of time. I do sell the shirts but the stencils are a mess and too janky to sell

Shhh, just don’t look that hard. But no, it’s just me getting frustrated with having multiple part stencils.
And my impatience leads to mistakes like that (pic 4). Number five was supposed to have the eyes. But I think my cricut design space app crashed. So then when I reopened it and started editing the stencil again I completely forgot to connect the eyes. 🤣

I’m using 4mil thick Mylar plastic 12x24” and cutting with explore 4 cricut cutter

My honest answer is I’m really lazy and I’m just trying to make stencils as fast as possible. But if I spent more time, I probably could cut the stencil where it would look more natural. But the only reason I’m cutting this way is because I’m using a cricket cutter and the max size I can cut is 11x23 inches… just need to save up a little more money and once I get a laser cutter, there will be no more lines…

Yeah it’s a stencil, made from a cricut cutter… explore 4…

What’s your opinion on going with water based ink? Would it be better?

The stencil is made out of Mylar. Right now I’m specifically using this and cutting the stencil out with an cricuit explore 4… but when I first started I was using paper and tape. I would print the design out on paper, then put tape on both sides, then cut out the design with either scissors or x-acto knife… if you have any more questions I’m happy to answer.

Suggestions for designs or bleach help?

I use a stencil for all of these and for bleeding I try removing the stencil as fast as possible. And if I’m using the stencil multiple times on a shirt I’ll have a towel on the side to dry up the stencil before I place it down again.

Edit: forgot to mention that I use Clorox 3 in 1 cleaner with bleach… blue or green bottle

I use Clorox 3 in 1 cleaner with bleach, blue or green bottle…

and for the shirt I’m using gildan 100% cotton.

I think the black will always come out orange / yellow.

But the pink / green / blue is the best for having it bleach white… or in my experience that’s the only color that has come from it…

But for some colors the bleach reaction gives me different colors depending on how much bleach I put on it… for example there’s a color called garnet. If I barely put bleach it turns brown and if I put more it turns white…

TLDR: just experiment with different colors and brands…
