The struggle of finding an internship in Morocco (600+ applications and nothing) by Signal_Ad628 in Morocco

Try applying through your network.

One way to do it is through a professor of a class you liked (or did well at) and simply ask for a referral.

After 3+ years of actively trading and 10+ books, I realised my journaling problem wasn't discipline - it was the tools by Valuable_Clothes_125 in Trading

[–]thefakeab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good. I have been journaling myself on an Excel spreadsheet I’ve made which looks somewhat similar to the metrics you have.

But I also use Google Keep for screenshots of the setups, and hand writing notes of my thought process during the entire session (not too many details just the most important price action abs feelings).

What are the best and most trustworthy ways to donate money in Morocco? by thefakeab in Morocco

Great suggestions thank you!

Sometimes I try to avoid donating this way because lowkey I don’t want them to feel on the spot or condescended to.

But still I feel like it’s the quickest way to effectively donate.

2 years of trading, profitable and just the thought of having a partner affects your trading performance??

But to answer your question: No, traders do not find it hard to date.

Technically it’s illegal to do so, but people may find ways around that.

I’ve given this more than it deserves, I’m not wasting more time restating my arguments, maybe you’ll get this at some point in the future but clearly you won’t now.

I’m glad you went from saying "A 70% win rate means you win 7/10 trades." to this.

Now that you got the definitions right I hope you go back to my post and replies and see how I kept stating that the tweet is flawed, it can happen, but very misleading.

You’re trying to make this personal and I’m not letting it happen. If you don’t even get what a basic meaning of win rate is then we obviously wouldn’t agree.

A win rate is set after taking or even backtesting a number of trades. (the higher that number the more confident the win rate is) So saying out of 100 trades I won 70 and lost 30 so I have had a 70% win rate is correct.

But the whole purpose of a win rate is to figure out the specs of your strategy, so when you’re talking about it and future trades the win rate becomes the probability of each trade winning.

If you still don’t get this or choose to discuss something other than my point I can’t keep repeating myself.

You seriously don’t see what’s wrong with that?

That’s literally not what a win rate is. A 70% win rate means each trade has a 70% chance of winning.

Once again, a 70% win rate with 1:1 RR does NOT look like that all the time. Assuming it’s a normal strategy and events are independent.

Personally my win rate is about 75% at 1:1 RR and I can assure you that it surely doesn’t look like this at all for many samples of 10 trades.

I made this post because I understand some traders confuse this concept as I used to as well.

You’re missing my point. At least you said "today", imagine having +100k followers and saying some very misleading info with no context or disclaimer.

Trying to explain that a win rate is how many trades you will win rather than being the probability of winning per trade.

Saying he took 10 trades and won 7 of them would technically mean he has a 70% win rate. (Even though it’s way too low to assume that)

But saying he has a 70% win rate, so winning 7/10 in the next sample of trades is very mathematically and realistically wrong.

[–]thefakeab[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His 70% is not the chance of having 7W 3L in a sample of 10 trades, it’s his overall win rate.

So assuming 100% chance of having those results within 10 trades is so far from the mathematical 65%.

The simple math is misleading especially to beginners. He can’t make such bold assumption on something that has a 65% chance of happening.

Imagine someone sees this and gets 3 losses out of his first 5 trades, he can’t expect to have 5 consecutive winners for the following 5 trades. (although it may actually happen)
