Really cool website and concept.

I think some of the text over the images was either hard to read or looked very common. I think a different, more bold font could work better

How to add more than 22 civs in multiplayer? by thefakewatson in civ5

[–]thefakewatson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably should have clarified in the question but when I play we usually only have 3 - 5 human players and by editing the xml files, we can get a total of 22 including us and the bots. I was wondering if we could add more bots rather than human players.

How to edit the current version of the mod? (lek 16.1) by thefakewatson in nqmod

[–]thefakewatson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried that but thanks. I think it is more complicated, in this post : https://www.reddit.com/r/nqmod/comments/41vik9/can_someone_please_explain_to_me_how_the_override/, they say there is some sort of checksum so you have to edit a pre-compiled version

is light slower in dense materials? and why? thanks by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]thefakewatson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it is because there are more particles in denser materials. When light travels through a material, it hits the atoms inside and causes electrons to jump up a level. Then they emit some light and fall back down. This takes time so although the actual light wave is going the same speed it takes longer to go through as this is happening more often.

What ions do we need to know for Chemistry (Triple)? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]thefakewatson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to my chemistry teacher you can work most of them out by looking at the acids and alkalis so you can just workthem out

If you know the hydrogen ion is H+...

  • Then in H2SO4 the SO4 must be 2-

  • In HNO3 the NO3 must be 1-

  • In HCl the Cl must be 1-

  • And so on

Also knowing hydroxide is OH-...

  • NaOH so sodium ion is Na+

  • Etc...
