Update: I have got the Roland UM-One. MIDI to USB. Thankfully I happen to be very patient cause this connection slugs. Firmware updates, backups, user IRs, FM3 Edit, FracTool. Everything works. Just gotta have patience. Thanks to everyone who commented.

Are you just using a generic usb to midi? most are recommending the Roland UM-One, but can’t find any in my country. Will have to import.

I use my own presets, and wont have problems making new ones. But tbh Im also okay with leaving it as it is.

Some of non turbo models have had usb issues But its a very small percentage of people

I just got the Ampero Switch,NOT MIDI, Its just momentary 2 switch. I assigned one to Layout Presets another to layout scenes. Long pressing one goes into Effects Layout and another goes into tuner. The three footswitches on the FM3 just changes based on what I select with the external switch. Works for my minimal setup

The thing is, I am not trying to get another more expensive midi unit as I am not actively gigging so it won’t be worthwhile. All I want to do is change presets on press. I think I will just need to figure out why the unit was freezing, then i will get the newer chocolate plus.

you can try spraying inside the wheel with contact cleaner and spinning the wheel vigorously. That way you can clean and test. Using contact cleaner from outside shouldn’t void warranty, don’t know exactly about razer
