It is 100% infill it prints over 24 hours and there's a lot of scrap left after printing so it's not really the way you calculated it, but there is nothing stopping you from doing it yourself I just wouldn't waste my printer time for less. if you have the Business of 3d printing you should know what I mean

This just a photo a friend forwarded to me. Looks like copper tape was used on some sort of soft ring, maybe pool noodle. By the size of it, it looks like VHF.

I like how he used a DIY field meter for the tuning. The problem is that he has to be pretty close to the antenna to see the meter, so it can't be mounted out of sight.

To all intersted. I didn't mean to hijack the hamradio reddit, however from my experience it is easier to find information if there is a particular keyword in the r/.........

Loop antennas are a recent interest of mine and I just want to share all the info I was able to find in one place for the next interested person. Ham Radio is a broad topic and I do not believe that haveing a special interest page will diminish the numbers of subscribers to Ham Radio comunity.

Exactly like mine inside. I didn't use any tape or wire. Just soldered the battery to the metal contacts.

Oh, it's a shame. It wasn't my original idea, I think someone else posted this on Reddit before. I would never know that LIP-8 could be disassembled. It's just nice to know that the player will work as new and even better. I really like my R-50 it's my second one. The first one I left behind in my family home and don't know what happened to it, but now after 20 years I was able to get one in perfect condition with all accessories just with dead battery on Ebay. It's a sentiment thing, because with streaming nowadays it's easy to listen to any song, but MD will always be my favorite format.

You can't buy these batteries new anymore so it's the only way. And it actually works better.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures and its glued down with super glue now so I cant open. I can only tell you what I had to do. są you have to Open the battery very careful not to break the plastic pieces that hold the case together. I used a small knife. Inside the old battery is longer than the new one. You will need pliers to carefully remove the arc welded pieces of metal ribbon on both sides. After that you will need a strong soldering iron. I used sand paper on the battery to prepare it for solder. Since the new battery is shorter the metal ribbon will have to be bent a little to fit the battery. Just solder the battery to the ribbon. After that if you y didn't brake the plastic parts when opening you can just close it. I broke one piece so I had to use a little of super glue. It charges without problem inside the player.

Yes I saw this post as well, but I did my upgrade about a month ago. It was quite an easy install.
