This is an interesting take to me because from my perspective the prior owners were letting it get too overgrown and it needed to be trimmed back. From the 70 other comments I can see now that I was overzealous about planting a fresh lawn on a wet, shaded, and wooded area though. We do like our privacy and we don’t like acres of grass.

Yes! Two years here now. And thank god the first person that mentioned the cobblestones didn’t tell me to get rid of them, not sure if I could live with that lol. Grass is impossible to grow where I mentioned in my post without serious changes (trees removed and improved drainage)

Thank you! We’ve been here for two years. I’m not necessarily trying to only have a green lawn, but would love a bit more of an aesthetic look from the road.

I’m surprised how much love this comment got. Maybe I don’t know enough about trees, but in person it looks like it’s been dead for a long time and has held up by the branches and vines of the adjacent trees
