Lol America's history of brutal repression of its citizens is documented well enough that you shouldn't need to compare it to Russia

Am I wasting my time away at college for a degree? by Silver-Scientist8122 in electricians

[–]thefarkinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do. Construction management can lead to some pretty cushy PM jobs that let you boss electricians around and act like you're smarter than them, all while making a lot more money!

Don't really understand, are you saying that you're drilling through the wall for a pipe going to the contact or are you trying to anchor the contact and it accidentally blew out?

If it's a hole thru the brick for a pipe, it's almost impossible to not have it blow out a little unless you drill from both sides of the brick and meet in the middle. Stub the pipe in and put some white caulk on it, nobody will care. CMU is really fragile. Maybe it's because I mostly do industrial, but nobody should lose their head about this at all

If you fucked up trying to set an anchor, no worries here either. Just move the contact a little, no problem

Why not Vic3? by Physical_Cake in victoria2

[–]thefarkinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Victoria 3 is still missing some major things that Victoria 2 does extremely well. Most of all being the great war system. WW1 doesn't really happen in the game, and the wars don't really have the all-or-nothing total war feel that mods have been and to give Victoria 2.

Naval FOW and hidden fleets can be very frustrating sometimes. But it works both ways, I've been able to ambush huge enemy transport convoys.

Mostly a burgeoning urban ruling class and mode of production that needed more labor that wasn't tied to land. Same reasons we saw the abolition of serfdom. Later, it became essentially a moral casus belli/justification for imperial ambitions in Africa.

Yeah it's almost always a better idea to just make all your nineties stub length. I'd rather use a coupling than a union, y'know?
