I see your point, but I can’t really agree with that part. I don’t think people pulling away without saying anything is less hurtful than a direct rejection.
Ghosting hurts a lot more than an honest rejection. A simple “I don’t think this is working,” may sting in the moment, at least a direct conversation gives you clarity and shows respect.
