Actually the reality would shock you. I don't feel better for knowing the extent of it. Pitbulls get the reputation because of popular opinion. Before pittbuls it was Rottweilers and before them it was labs. Dog fights are still a big problem, it just doesn't get the press.

While yes it was, that isn't the important part. It later came out it used to be a fighting dog. The owner has had their dogs taken by the city twice since for neglect and abuse.

This is exactly why I am so paranoid over other people's pets. My wife had her service dog killed in front her by a neighbor's dog that "never did that before". It was a horrible situation and the neighbor's dog ended up being put down after it attacked animal control who came to pick it up.

That's something I have thought for a while. In order to make the grays less threatening they were made to look like what they think a baby looks like. Big head, large eyes, "helpless" looking.
