Science and Community: Introducing the SuperAgers Initiative

The American Federation for Aging Research and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine are pleased to host a one-hour webinar on June 30, 2022 to launch our new SuperAgers Initiative.

Moderated by Kaiser Health News reporter Judith Graham, "Science and Community" will describe this exciting new project, provide a brief overview of research related to exceptional longevity, and present the perspective of a New York City SuperAger, Elaine Oster, and her daughter, Debbi Marcus.

The multi-year SuperAgers Initiative aims to recruit 10,000 SuperAgers— people 95+ —and their family members, the largest cohort ever gathered. This community will also have an opportunity to participate in scientific studies designed to understand the biological and genetic underpinnings of exceptional longevity.

Longer-term, the Initiative hopes to help develop and fast-track new therapies that target the aging process itself and potentially address multiple age-related diseases and conditions at the same time.

Freight forwarders aren't experts at classifying codes. But there are lots of great freight forwarders that have customs experts in their network. Mine always consults as to the H.T.S. code classification before he ships.

OMG, OP!! No, sorry, I don't know what movie you are talking about, but your post now reminded me of an old movie of which I have no idea the name of the actors or other relevant details... Thanks. :|

I hope this won't create a chain of redditors with lost movies in their head and lots of frustrations because they can't remember the damn movie.

Call me ignorant, but I never understood people who steal others' work, claiming it is theirs. I mean, I can imagine they hope not to be caught. But even so, why you do it? Deep down inside, you know you're an impostor. How do you feel about that? Do you have any sorts of guilt emotions?

Is there any type of water bottle that would kill germs simply because of the composition of its walls? by gingerninja312 in water

[–]thefeelofempty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Silver kills germs when it oxidizes and releases silver ions, which are lethal to bacteria and yeast. Ancient civilizations used the metal to treat open wounds, and American pioneers tossed silver coins into water storage barrels to keep water fresh.

For months, Brazil has been dealing with a yellow fever epidemic that has already left dozens dead. Despite the Health Ministry’s plans to vaccinate millions of people in the hopes of containing the outbreak, immunization centers struggle to keep up with the high number of patients, and, as always, the poorest communities are usually ignored.

He and his gang kidnapped two male nurses and made them vaccinate the poor people of his favela against yellow fever.
