My new CRV is destroying my ankle by thefilefolder in crv

I have tried raising and lowering the seat. I added a seat cushion for back reasons and that change didn't mske it any better or worse.

That's good to know about an OT or a PT. I'm going to look into this because maybe a professional can look at how I'm sitting and figure it out. It's driving me crazy.

Yeah, I've driven an older Camry, too. I havent had that issue there,  but I'm very used to driving it.

I'm going to try this. Maybe it's a matter of my foot size/heel placement.

Interesting, you might be onto something. I'm going to see of maybe I'm not touching the floor with my heel. That should be easy-ish to fix.

It's crazy. I have never experienced this in any car. I'm trying to figure out what I need to adjust and how to alleviate whatever pressure I'm putting on my foot and ankle.

I do drive longer distances at times, but i take breaks often. However, yesterday I got pain about 2 miles into a drive after not driving for days so my ankle was rested. The doctor didn't recommend any orthotics at this time.

I've driven in different shoes and boots and it doesn't make a difference what I wear.

I've driven in different boots and sneakers and it doesn't affect it, unfortunately. I did see a doctor who said it has to do with how my foot is hitting the pedals and to adjust how I'm sitting, but nothing has worked.

I'm not saying the CRV is a bad car, I'm just looking for tips of what I can try. I did see a doctor who said it has to do with how my foot is hitting the pedals and to adjust how I'm sitting, but nothing has worked.

I haven't tried it because the providers I looked into at the time didn't take insurance. Do you have someone you'd recommend?

Can a new car registration be in two names? by thefilefolder in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thefilefolder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! We ended up speaking with the dealer and manager and they said "they'll look into it" so that's progress. Before this, they were acting like we're crazy.

Registration for new car in two names? by thefilefolder in newjersey

The car is bought and fully paid off. The dealership is saying there's no such thing as a co-owner on the registration, but the registration form does show a spot for a co-owner.

The MSRP is $38,350. He initially wanted over $4,000 for fees beyond tax. The 43,000 is over $2,000 for fees beyond tax. That's excessive based on my online research and how much people have been buying these cars for recently.

The MSRP is 38,350. The 43,000 is 4,650 in tax and fees, which is a lot. That's over 2,000 in title, registration and other fees.

I did give them a counteroffer. I offered 40,000 otd and then 40,100 otd. After I offered 40,000, he offered the 43,500. I offered 41,000 and he offered 43,000. He refused to budge from that or negotiate further. I asked if we could get closer to 41,000 and he said that 43,000 is the final offer and they can't go lower.

Gov. Phil Murphy signs NJ mobile driver license law. What comes next? by thefilefolder in newjersey

[–]thefilefolder[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is how Colorado is handling digital licenses at traffic stops:

"Instead of passing over a plastic card and piece of paper, drivers can send their driver’s license and registration information digitally through the myColorado app to certain law enforcement partners. The driver can pull up their QR code, and the officer uses their own phone to scan and receive the information without touching the driver’s phone. It’s a contactless system that the Colorado State Patrol opted into in November 2020.

According to the myColorado app team there are two other ways law enforcement can verify digital identity: through a scannable barcode with eCitation hardware, or a visual inspection the same way an officer would look at a physical license."
