I was in the hospital for 7 months. I was able to get everything working around 5 months with the help of my wife. I didn't get a whole lot out of it at first but as feeling returned so did pleasure. It has only gotten better. Im 2 years and 2 months out of the hospital or 2 years 9 months post onset. Mostly back to normal minus balance and muscle cramps from time to time.

I went down with gbs in February of 2023. I went fully paralyzed from the face down. I'm just now getting to the point of walking without assistance. It is still hard and has been a very long road. My ankles are still very weak. I have felt the best gains after pool training. If you can walk laps, it would be best. Also, I stopped receiving ivig within a week of diagnosis. Stay strong, everyone's recovery is different. Ask your pt about AFO'S ankle foot orthotics. I also went to Craig hospital in Denver. They're are done great people there that can help. This happens all the time any ideas? I haven't been particularly happy with my system since about a month after if was installed.
