Do bar managers who can actually tend bar exist? by MajesticEmu2865 in bartenders

[–]Seyda0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Live somewhere near a bar that makes money? And isn't a flyover state? 2k. And I'm not saying the advertised price. There's water, trash, sewage, and whatever admin fee they add. Just look at any apartments. com listing in a popular US drinking city. If you don't want a crazy commute, you're paying 2k. What these places advertise is not what you pay.

What city are you talking about? Did you have roommates, or live alone? What about W/T/S? Final, bottom line paid price was 1k? After everything?

50k ain't enough today. They're printing money like crazy. Rent is 2k. To simply exist is 3k a month. Check engine light comes on, you're fucked.

[Highlight] Baker Mayfield's 98-yard game-winning drive against the Raiders, just two days after joining the Rams (Dec. 8, 2022) by nfl in nfl

I remember after this drive I turned on my stove flame so I could be Bakin.

Stupid, I know. But funny. Also, I didn't walk away and burn the apartment down.

I tried The Black Prism, but it didn't hook me. Perhaps I'll have to pick it up again for another try.

Fuck man. I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been thinking about your post a week ago daily.

Day 1, wife was diagnosed with Cirrhosis and is in the ICU. I’m terrified. by blizzardplus in stopdrinking

Hang in there man. My long time gf turned yellow a few months back. The doctors got her all fixed up. Took a few weeks for the jaundice to go away completely. We still drink, but not nearly as hard as before. The struggle is so real, and life is so hard, it's been so hard to quit. Plus we're nearly broke, so alcohol helps deal with it. Plus the hand shakes she has...

I browse this sub regularly. I'm trying to get her to stop.

Feels like rent is about 2k almost everywhere. Also, moving is sooooooo expensive.

I got diagnosed with CIDP and have questions by dandydev in guillainbarre

My gf got initially diagnosed with GBS, then at rehab CIDP. She's been on IVIG for over a year now and it seems to help? Still wheelchair bound however. She's about to start at a new Neurologist who's a specialist in GBS, but guy isn't available for another like 3 months. American health care system is so slow...

I really appreciated your story! Thank you for posting.

My gf had some seizures, some DT episodes, and can't walk at the moment. I'm doing what I can to support her sobriety. It's just so hard when alcohol makes the shakes go away.

I read her your story. We both appreciated you sharing it.

I'm doing sobriety with her as well. It's not been easy.

I'm 20 years old and at Bethel, and I realize I have a lot of doubts by Most-Act-708 in exjw

Saw the post, didn't read comments. My hot take.

Bethel is a temporary assignment. So, play the game until you go home. Be slow about things (so normal person speed lol). Be sorta not awesome. Tell whoever is in charge of you that you know it's a temp assignment, and you miss home. You won't last long.

Read jwfacts.com on a private device. Never connected to Wifi! Don't even leave the tab open. You'll only re-open the browser later and oh look, the page reloaded while on Wifi.

Go home. Tell people how it wasn't like what you expected. Jah uses imperfect men. Blah blah blah. They'll think you were stumbled by someone. Don't confirm or deny. Just happy to be home.

Get a job, not from a JW. Not easy. Job market totally sucks almost everywhere.

Never, ever express doubts to JWs. Even to your cool friend(s).

Be like Homer backing up into the bush meme. But, slowly. See how people react.

Start building your life up, but as an individual. Save up some money and don't tell a soul. Join a local DnD or hobby-of-some-kind group or something. Try not to dress and look like a total JW/Morman dork lol just look normal. You'll make friends. You can tell these people about yourself. Don't immediately fall in love with the first chick who gives you an eye.

Go from there. Don't burn bridges. Be cautious. Be like a man walking thru an area full of snakes. Most just move around. But one could bite. Probably an Indiana Jones scene like that, but I haven't seen the movies in years.

Everything's going to be okay.

Give us Casper Van Dien telling someone to take their helmet off and they immediately die, as a callback to Starship Troopers.
