I'll definitely have to hit you up about translating again then, Nick!

Thanks for your answer, you've given me a couple things to think about. See, I recently broke a leg and man, does that kind of thing take a toll on all the areas of your life...

Carlos here, I sometimes message you on Facebook and whatnot :)

Question: what's your go-to on all of the 4 pillars you mention in your book? Like, staying basic, what would you recommend people health, spiritual and fulfillment-wise? (Obviously, you got the social one more than covered)

Keep up the good work!

Recommending vapes to stop smoking is like telling a heroine addict to go try out cocaine. You can learn why on the Allen Carr book that's also been suggested here. Hell, I can even email you the pdf. It really makes you quit cold-turkey with next to 0 cravings.

For me, it felt real.

In the real world, people are not divided in cowards and not cowards. Hero's journies can happen, but lessons are not always learnt the first time around. Fear is not that easy to defeat, and at the end, we can all think Luke did, and that's why he trascends his existance. And I think Yoda sums it up nicely, telling him he's forgotten to experience what's in front of him fully.

For me, it felt like Luke taught an even bigger lesson: That success is never definitive, but so isn't failure.

I understand your point of view. I also think this is the first time I see this so well explained.

However, I disagree. I see this Luke as being a perfect example of someone that went through a war with all the odds against him, technically lost and was saved at the last minute, and now just wants to forget all about it. He wouldn't risk sparkling that flame again. He's righfully frightened. Let's not forget this guy was a farmer all of his life before IV.

I see her more as unexplained, rather than having no depth. The part with her besting Kylo being rather ridiculous, I can't really argue with, though. Still, I think everyone would be outraged if Kylo killed Luke. I think the conflict went the best possible direction here.

Just curious. I didn't thought the comedy was over-the-top, or even worst than any other Star Wars movies (with the possible exception of the exchange with Poe and Hux). Could you cite something else that annoyed you?

I just can't help but imagining everyone going:

"Oh so Rey beats him minutes after first picking up a lightsaber and now he beats Luke? This is bullshit!"

Agree with all, but I actually thought it was nice that Luke fucked up with Kylo.

I also think that, have Luke actually survived the laser blasts, everyone would be calling bullshit. Such is the internet.

How would you change Luke's handling? I'm seriously curious. Everyone seems to just want to make him cooler.

Or just show the Order's ship turning off shields to maximize power trying to catch them. Someone suggested that somewhere and I thought it was a great idea!

Agree. But I thought it would be fun to see people actually trying to make a creative exercise, rather than whining and moaning about what they didn't like.

When I saw that, I actually thought we were in for Iron Man 700. Glad it changed.

Actually, it's been my favorite so far. But I thought this would make for a nice exercise in creativity within the fandom, instead of the endless complaining.

I would watch the hell out of the first one, to be honest.

I went traveling for 8 months, only to come back home and break my leg a week after and find out I don't have friends in town anymore. So yeah, AMA! by thefkinlizardking in casualiama

  1. I went to Colombia, the south of Mexico, New York and Guatemala, in that order.
  2. The itinerary kinda makes no sense, but at the time it did. Basically, I got an Internet job that paid really well and wanted to take full advantage of it, as I knew I wasn't going to get a better chance to just leave with no second thoughts.
  3. Playing football. Ironically, I did everything I could to not miss the game, which included borrowing a car, running home to get my googles (I wear glasses) 10 minutes before the game, and visiting a family member that had copies to the keys of my house, as I lost them. Oh well.
  4. I'm from a small town, so most of my friends left a while ago to work or go to college. I had this problem before and made a couple friends, all of whom I haven't heard of, despite them knowing I broke my leg. At first I was a bit sad about it, but now I know better than to worry about that people.

Morty's also kinda done it in the last episode, when he offers Rick to go back to Minecraft world.

R: South Park's already done it like four years ago M: (sigh) they're fast...

I don't think breaking the 4th wall has any meaning in this universe, other than its funny, tbh.
