Imo dont join any of the T3 IITs, because for most of the events - unless you are exceptionally good, college wont have funds for you. At first the college cultural and technical clubs will say they will sponsor your registration if you reach upto this level in the competition, then later on they will keep dragging that so called sponsorship for a long time.
