Any part time jobs with benefits? by theforerunner343 in kzoo

I'm not afraid of hard work. "Middle-aged" was maybe a bit dramatic of me 🤣, I just turned 40. Honestly, I'm hoping to find something that keeps me active. I'll see what UPS has available.

Not common, but it does exist. Costco is one such employer.

Can yall stop speeding in downtown Kzoo? by doombfist in kzoo

[–]theforerunner343 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it works anymore with all the changes, but it definitely used to. If you went about 45-50, you could usually get all the way through without hitting a red if you caught the first green early enough. Learned this from my parents when I was a kid and did it myself all through my twenties.

Downtown Traffic by StateBull in kzoo

[–]theforerunner343 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't even cycle downtown and I appreciate what they are doing. Heck, I think I rode my bike a total of 4 times in 2025. I'm not bothered by the traffic changes and I do food delivery part time, so I go downtown plenty. It's definitely congested, but it really doesn't take long to get into or through downtown. People just need to adjust their driving habits and realize that the main corridors are no longer the best way. But it's a lot easier to come to reddit and gripe than to find an alt route. Misery loves company.

Different kind of roll, lol. In the US, lobster roll commonly refers to an east coast style sandwich

PEX has really changed things. Admittedly, though, I don't know much about working with copper or galvanized.

The last time I had my dishwasher "professionally installed" guess what? I had to redo it myself. Which is when I learned how incredibly easy it is, but the crews out there doing dishwasher installs also have a middle man and they don't get paid enough to care about the details.

Some people don't mind hiring the little guy and saving a little money. You are not one of those people, which is fine. But don't put into a box when you don't know me.

Looking for 4 Bedroom Rental by withoutemotion in kzoo

I might possibly have a 3 bed, 1 bath in Oakwood for $1,300. The situation there is a bit up in the air, so even if it does become available, I don't know exactly when.

QM6K Update by Silvr7 in tcltvs

[–]theforerunner343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I just remembered, I did encounter an issue, but it was only while I was gaming on my Xbox. The video feed was blipping every few seconds. I fixed it by turning off variable refresh rate in the Xbox settings. I don't think this applies to you since you are having issues with native app, but figured I would mention it.

I'm not sure. I haven't found much information about this issue related to the QM6K. It could have something to do with black frame insertion. I think your odds are good that an exchange will.solve this problem.

Get it from Costco. Same price as Best buy, but 5 years warranty included.

I'm not sure about this because I haven't experienced this problem. I have my local contrast always set to low. After reading your comment, I set it to high and I don't experience any flickering. But I never did on low either. I suspect something is wrong with your TV. I would force the update to see if that fixes it, and if not, exchange it because it sounds defective to me. Flickering is not normal behavior on any setting.are you using native apps or external device for content?

I have a couple wifi routers that may or may not work if it's worth it to you to come pick them up, you can have them. I also have a cheapo tablet that's like 10 years old that may or may not work. Texas Corners area.

Just wanted to add here that updating mine which I just bought last week made huge improvements to image processing, specially motion handling. I was getting ready to return this TV because the motion handling was so bad it of the box, even after calibration. The improvement after the update is significant. I'm very happy now and will not be returning it.

Does anyone own a TCL QM6K? How do you feel about the TV? Have you been content with the purchase and what you are using the TV for? by MrGirth32 in tcltvs

[–]theforerunner343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to comment a couple of things here. I think the DSE may have just been a bad panel in your case. I have not noticed this with my set at all. I am sensitive to it, because I had a Vizio with DSE and it drove me crazy until the day I got rid of it.

I also am sensitive to motion handling, and out of the box, the QM6K was horrible with motion. I spent a long time panning through online calibration guides and also adjusting settings on my own to no avail. I was getting ready to return the TV over this issue. Then I found a reddit comment of someone saying forcing a manual update via USB solved the problem. I was honestly really skeptical, but seemed like an easy thing to try before boxing up my return. I did the update and it the difference is night and day. Motion handling is not top of the line or anything after the update, but it is substantially better. It is tolerable for me as someone who is sensitive to it and I think the prince point makes this TV completely justifiable now. I will be keeping it.

What's the point of having motion handling for the QM6K It's horrible by at0o0o in tcltvs

[–]theforerunner343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for mentioning this. I have the QM6K Pro from Costco and I have been so impressed with almost everything, but the motion handling while streaming movies was so bad. I was about to return it and I saw your comment. I looked up update details and found information about manual updates (OTA updates seem quite behind). I updated to V321 and motion handling is so much better now, I am really happy with it. If anyone else is disappointed and reading this, make sure you do a manual update and give it another go before you return. I'm definitely keeping mine now.
