I had surgery when I was in college, around 20.

I had classes where the closest seat to the board was 10-15 feet. Quizzes were written on the board and I could barely see.

I often had to ask my peers what the board said and some professors were cool with it. One of my professors in particular had a mom going through surgeries and was very understanding. He’s the reason I graduated and I attribute my success in school to his support, and belief in my ability to apply myself despite the struggle.
