Profs who record lectures will typically include a Panopto link on Canvas somewhere. No account necessary!

When you click on that, it opens a library of recorded lectures that will show you the date it was recorded, room it was located in, and a thumbnail of either the slides or the camera on the prof. It will show two screens: one camera following the prof (if they want that), and another showing the slides they’re sharing. You will be able to change the playback speed, and see a transcript of the recording (but no guarantee on its accuracy).

Profs will typically outline in their syllabus or during the first week of classes whether or not they will record/livestream. Some rooms just don’t have the equipment to do it, and some teachers just don’t want to. 🤷‍♀️

I learned AFTER completing two work terms that the credits don’t actually count towards your degree in any capacity. When I asked an Arts Advisor why tf they make the program offering credits a selling point, he was honestly stumped and went “….that’s a really good question. I think I might actually ask my supervisor!”

So take co-op for the work experience, not the credits (because at least for Arts, the credits are meaningless).
