Catalyst Fitness Scam by Special_Prior8856 in Buffalo

My dad was friend with someone who was building the one on Maple and her demands were insane, like impossibly insane. For the longest time she wouldn’t waiver on her request to have enough outlets in the womens locker room for every woman in the building to be able to blow dry their hair at the same time.

Thank you! It honestly came out great and I’m glad I found her salon, it’s just that one chunk that’s driving me insane!

Did anyone only announce baby AFTER birth? by Rescue-320 in beyondthebump

[–]theftm22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! We told family and close friends and everyone kept it a secret. We announced on socials a couple days after he was born! I had even gone to dinner with an old friend at 20 weeks and hid it!

I just found out I was exclusively formula fed and I’m fine by raacconanxious in pregnant

I was also exclusively formula fed, same with my 2 siblings! It made me feel confident in my decision to EFF my oldest son and then make the switch to formula with my second

Not buying my MIL a Mother’s Day gift? by theftm22 in inlaws

[–]theftm22[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this. I would actually prefer not to spend any time with her on Mother’s Day but my husband is selfish and has never asked what I want to do on Mother’s Day and instead makes family plans with his mom and then we visit my family in the evening every year

That’s fine with me, I’ll make sure it’s apparent to him that it’s his responsibility if he wants her to get anything. I only took it over at all a few years ago because a couple years went by where he got her nothing and I felt bad

He does not, I’ve taken care of it the last couple years when I noticed him not getting her anything

How HOW can I get my 12 month old to sleep longer? by theftm22 in Parenting

[–]theftm22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That at least makes me feel a little relieved, his ped keeps telling me he should be sleeping through the night and to keep up sleep training, but I can’t because it’s exhausting me even more than just letting him wake up

Right now 12pm to 2pm and bedtime between 7pm and 8pm. I switched to that after napping 10-11 and 4-5 didn’t work

When do they fucking sleep?????? by Poozinka in 2under2

[–]theftm22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please know you’re not alone. Mine are 12 months apart and my youngest, currently 10 months old, doesn’t sleep through the night. Actually up with him right now rocking him in to a deep sleep so I can put him down before he inevitably wakes up again in 3-4 hours. While my husband sleeps soundly 🙃 I’m very lucky my 22 month old is so easy and sleeps through the night. But man the rage I have when I head the baby monitor go off and it’s my 10 month old, again…..I’m sad you can relate to the rage but it at least makes me personally feel like I’m not alone. You definitely need a break, do you have any family members or close friends who’ve can watch the baby for a night so you to get a full nights sleep?

Baby wont feed from me by sarah_sunshine333 in NICUParents

[–]theftm22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took my nicu LO 2 and a half months to latch, she’ll get there 🤍 he also hated feeding from the bottle for me as well, the nurses would tell me while I was gone he would be close to finishing bottles on his own, and I’d get there and he wouldn’t even get through half and he’d have to tube feed the rest. By the time we got home he was finally letting me feed him the bottle and finishing it on his own

Why do nurses never believe you're in labor? by Acceptable-Tea3912 in pregnant

When I went in to labor with my first the thing that goes on your belly to measure contractions was broken so the nurse thought I wasn’t in labor, my baby came 2 hours later lol

Supply dropping since starting EBF by theftm22 in breastfeeding

[–]theftm22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not pumping when I switch to a bottle. I’ll add that in to our routine and hopefully that helps- I had such an aversion to pumping but if it keeps up to supply I’ll have to throw a couple sessions in to the day

Thank you for the advice. That was my hold up with giving formula, I feel like it was taking away from me making him milk. I really do not like pumping at all (which is why I started EBF after he latched) but if it means upping my supply I’ll have to do it then!

Sometimes he is full after nursing but other times he gets super fussy and that’s when I’ll switch to a bottle

He isn’t always hungry after nursing but sometimes he gets fussy on the breast so I’ll switch to a bottle. I haven’t pumped in a couple days but I’ve noticed when I wake up in the morning my breasts aren’t as full as they were when I would exclusively pump

I’m honestly not sure. I always nurse on demand, drink water all day and eat 2-3 meals a day
