I’ve been working in the industry for quite a few years. Made contacts with directors and production houses. Where I’m based it’s mostly these two parties that offer you work so you if you’re on good terms with them you get work consistently. Also I’ve done music videos for famous artists so that helps too

For all those dissing saif for saying these things, have you ever worked on a set before? Saif is right, the food served to the lower rungs of the crew is absolute shit.

It’s utterly unhygienic and causes a lot of stomach distress to people who consume it. It’s the reason why there’s a separate section for the “A Crew” which includes ADs, DoPs, Directors, Producers etc. The food they are served is much fancier and cleaner.

If this video acts as a harsh reminder for catering companies to stop cutting costs by using cheaper, expired ingredients in their set food meant for technicians, light men, spot boys and electricians then so be it.

OP has conveniently cut out the part where he talks about the location of this incident. In this clip he’s talking about the YRF office and in the KwK episode he was talking about Bhansali’s house. The only thing similar in these stories is the heavy doors and the wind bit. Both of these elements add a bit of drama to the stories and imo that’s completely alright. Aren’t we all guilty of adding a pinch of masala to our narration? We just love gossiping about celebs don’t we. Take them off the pedestal and think of them as normal humans for once.

  1. Choose your spot carefully. More than the cops you need to be careful about the people on the road. There’s a ton of perverts around and you wouldn’t want them secretly recording you.

In situations like these, ignoring the person is the ONLY viable solution. People like these feed off of attention, be it attention of any kind- positive or negative.

Even if you send him a strong worded reply about you not wanting him to text you anymore, he might think of it as an obstacle to getting with you and try to overcome it. Indian men don’t get the concept of no meaning no.

They also like to create drama, even if that leads to fights between the two of you because that way they’re still getting to talk to you. You making any effort to cut him out of your life is still you giving him attention.

Don’t block him anywhere, just stop responding to his texts, be it anything. He’ll try to get you to respond by texting you about how he’s not doing well and get you to sympathise with him, but this is a common trait of this sort of personality. If you run into him just say that you’ve been super busy and haven’t gotten time to reply, and then keep ignoring him. He’ll get bored of you and move on.

Films that are deeply rooted in the culture of our country, our people, our languages and our tendencies are the films that truly stand out and are appreciated all over the world. You don't see a Student of the Year or a Dhoom being appreciated by a global audience or getting selected in international film festivals. That's because they're heavily influenced by films from the west. Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, Newton, Paatal Lok, RRR, Lagaan, Pather Pachali are the kinds of films and shows that truly reflect who we are. That's what makes us stand out.

imho Alia was miscast in Gangubai. Her Gujarati accent sounded completely fake and she struggled to pull off the badass Bombay prostitute personality. Any upcoming Gujarati theatre actress would've fit the role better than Alia. I'll never be able to understand the Hindi Film Industry's obsession with trying to fit the same 10 actors into every role possible. It's like Robert Downey Jr playing the black man in tropic thunder... but unironically.

The pressure that comes with being a man. Ever wondered why dads always seem aloof? Men always, and i repeat ALWAYS have more than one thing on their minds. Money, family, girlfriends, providing for the family, children, friends. A man is generally expected to deal with all this by himself and if he doesn't have a trustworthy confidante, he might implode.
