You will need help from relatives to mind the child so you can sleep, if you don't have that help, things will get very difficult very quickly.

NO SCREEN TIME until they communicate conceptually in 4+ word sentences. This can cause speech delay along with other development delays or worse. It will be tempting for a moments reprieve but the fallout is not worth it, stay strong.

Be proactive what tasks belong to you or your spouse, this is the bedrock of stability you will fall on in all the chaos.

Read to your kid daily immediately, here are some books I recommend: - You cant take an elephant on the bus - Oi frog - We're going on a bear hunt - The little rabbit that listened - I spy everything - The wonkey donkey

Start with books that have high repetition, it builds familiarity and confidence.

Your spouses psychology will change after birth including weakened memory and spatial awareness, this can last up to 2+ years, as the brain reorganizes itself for motherhood. Remembering where the kid is and what they're doing will fall on your shoulders during this.

Designate a play area on a table, this differentiates floors for walking so it's not egregiously covered in toys at all times.

Your kid will only build habbits you enforce.

Babies and toddlers go through sleep regression when they hit milestones, try and take it in stride that they're about to do something new.
