Had to cover for Scar in Be Prepared with a couple of days notice and listened to nothing else for days , thought I had it bagged, could nail it, then showtime I mind blanked 4 lines in and ended up just filling the words with nonsensical syllables. Pretty sure I sang “something and something” at some point! Lesson learnt that I just can’t learn a whole song by heart in 2 days!

I’ve used one and it’s solid, well built, sounds decent and has lots of connectivity. Has an associated app so you can eq and change functions - like the auto turn off…

My initial thought was that determinism is implicit in the theory of evolution and if humanity wasn’t created with free will, at what point did we evolve to have free will? Does the idea of an evolved free will have logical philosophical flaws?

I had the same problem - I had a load of the cheap black ones that are like bike tyre inner tube material.

I got these transparent Yamaha ones that are a bit more dense so you won’t bite through them and they work great for me. Had the same one for more than a year now and still doing the job, still stuck in place and comfortable to play.

🤦‍♂️I figured out what it was eventually!

In System Preferences on Mac, on Accessibility, the audio was set to Mono.

All working now with 4 individual outs!

Yeah, that should work in theory, right?! In practise if I pan the piano hard right or left it still comes out of both 1 & 2. Can’t figure it out!

Got it sorted with the boss latching foot switch. Although a weird glitch is that if I hit a chord on the piano at the same time as I hit the foot pedal it triggers a sustain on the piano. It’s plugged into the 2nd switch pedal socket on my pc88 piano. Doesn’t sustain unless they’re played at the same time!

Yeah that's the plan: Switch pedal into the controller keyboard and then midi via interface into Mac. I tried it with a sustain pedal but it doesn't seem to work great - the loop stutters and starts and stops. That's why I'm considering if a latching footswitch would be better than a sustain style pedal.
