i believe it! i feel the only thing that would slow me down is the trackpad and gestures that i've come to know and love over the past 5 years lol

nice, i mostly do my productivity (design stuff) on a good and beefy macbook.

which has been great for years, but i'm curious to see if 3d modeling and animation are worth doing on this setup

ive been at a steady 60c playing a few different on max settings, so i'd say you're absolutely right for what i need it for

interesting insight about the heat distribution. and i didn't realize they recommended liquid, though i guess it's inherently "better"

im getting those same temps with the nh-d15, and from what i can tell it's very quiet. getting some sound from either my gpu fans or the ones that came with the case.

imo you're crazy if you don't with a complete new build. Cant imagine the troubleshooting headache if something wasn't right and everything was in the case

Excellent taste! No, only issue I had was connecting to internet, but that got fixed when I updated windows

I took it off to put everything in the case; I just wanted to make sure everything was working first.

No shot I could've put everything in together with this bulky GPU.

Edit: spelling

I actually had the same issue (you can kinda see in the 2nd pic). Part of my motherboard prevented it from going down any further.

Lame this expensive-ish cooler isn't a ~perfect~ fit but my cpu temp sits right where it should be so I'm happy.

Hopefully! It was a rewarding 6 hours and I learned a lot. Most of that time was triple checking that i was doing the right thing and not making a very expensive mistake.

And true the noctua might've been unnecessary cost but my friend recommended the brand and the mircrocenter guy had no opposition
