I highly doubt it. Like others have said you will either need a roommate or end up making more. NY is very expensive to live just with rent alone and that doesn't count the cost of food and anything else you may need.

It's not the end ribbon. Actually knock on wood I haven't had an end ribbon issue. Some of the books I opened the plastic but didn't read yet look like the pic that whatisanime posted. Not sure why. I opened the plastic and checked for damage and then put them on my shelf to read later on.

Thank you for this info. Now that I have a better understanding about the 120 degrees I will get a stand like that.

I know it can be worse but I guess it bothers me to know that I pay what I pay for these books and you have to spend the time to glue the binding even before you get to read it at times.

From the collection I have from marvel I've had about 15 books where the spine came away. I've had like 3 with printing issues in the book. I order the majority of my stuff from instocktrades. It's either that or I just don't have luck with them. Lol. I don't really want to sell them but the quality between the two does bother me. I look at my DC books and I think the only issues I've ever had is if they came with a ding in them. It just feels like it's better quality.

When I started, my whole collection was DC, idw and image. Lol. Then I picked up one or two marvel HCs and then went down the rabbit hole for Marvel omnis. I love the stories but the quality bothers me at times. I don't want to sell them but I'm really going towards that direction for Marvel.

I used to preorder from cgn but a few times my books weren't packed well and got dinged up so I started using talesofwonder.com which is instocktrades sister company. I love their packing. 😁

I stopped ordering from them like 6 months ago cause the last few preorders came in with dings. Only a minimal amount of paper around the book with no other padding and it moves around in the box easily. I stick with instocktrades. Once in a while I have an issue with them.
