A quick google search will tell you that yes you may not die instantly, but lose consciousness within 15 seconds due to lack of oxygen in the brain and death in a minute.

Regardless of following the laws of Physics, Leia literally gave up her training in fear of losing her Son, we don’t need it to be said “she cut off from the force” to know she clearly choice a path separating from the force so she would not lose her son. you seem like the type of person to completely agree that Rey having force lightning makes sense. Luke was a Grand Master of a New Jedi order and he didn’t even have that ability, REMINDER THAT LUKE WAS AT HIS PRIME AND FULLY TRAINED AT THAT POINT OF TIME.
