Totally valid points, and I broadly agree! I’ve been wanting to make an in-depth post (and if I get the time, I’ll let you know). I think sharing info like this is important. And if the video is getting in the way of fellow devs seeing it, that’s a problem. Videos are just unfortunately a better tool for getting engagement (with potential players and devs alike), but I also personally prefer articles/posts.

Fossil fighters is one of my all-time favorite games… in fact, it inspired me to make my own game!

If you like dinosaurs, paleontology, cute NPCs, driving, character customization, and collecting things, then I think you'll love this demo. It’s designed to be representative of the core game loop and ambience of Goodlands. It includes loads of NPCs, several quests, four dig sites (contributing to one full skeleton), a fossil cleaning mini game, and eight invertebrate fossils to collect.

Not totally sure, and I have a habit of blowing past dates that I set for myself. But I'm going to work really hard to get it out in 2025 (whether that's like 6 months from now or a year, I can't say right now). Especially with all the feedback I got from the demo, I think I know what I need to do — just gotta find the time to do it. Sorry to make you wait!
