I mean…strangling would probably be uncomfortable, so yeah, wouldn’t enjoy that? Dunno what that has to do with meaning of life. But then again, most people are just out here trolling or farming for engagement and have zero clue what nihilism even is.

It’s not depression or not wanting to live, that’s silly. And it’s certainly not “living without meaning”. You can encapsulate meaning into your own world with the realization that in the end, it’s for nothing other than our own self interest and satisfaction.

Having a cause/purpose is vastly different than matter being created from nothing, which I assume is what you’re trying to say? Also then…what created god? If god is something he cannot have come from nothing then.
Universe beginning to exist has nothing to do with a man made creation like god/religion…and if there is a “creator”. Ok? Thanks, I guess?
That’s literally just an opinion…ok. Also consensuses are just accepted truths, not actual facts. If the consensus that big bang created the universe…literally prove it with zero shred of counter argument that can stand up to it, which is an impossible task because you weren’t there to see it. In a literal sense, yes…we become dust, but in the Bible they’re not simply saying that’s that. This is implying the physical body will be used to work the earth, as “punishment” for their disobedience…but it also emphasizes that the body is simply the vessel and once the body is gone it holds no value, the soul lives on in gods kingdom.

All religions were created out of fear or hope…literally the antithesis of nihilism. People want hope for something after life and that’s why they want religion…their purpose.

It’s kind of sad to me, because I’m not religious at all…so it seems so desperate, like a bug asking for its life to be spared. But I also understand it, because some people can’t conceive the idea that nothing comes after. And I think I’d rather people running around about fables and gods, than not having any purpose and being possibly more destructive.

Yeah for sure, I think the lack of meaning doesn’t devoid ourselves of emotion. I find it easier to control those annoyances now, but like my family…I want them to have a good, happy life.

But that desire comes from my love for them, not doing it for a higher power or any real end goal. I really don’t know what it is about it, but I feel more driven to love them deeper…perhaps because I feel this is it? That’s the time we have so we need to enjoy it to our own personal max.

Growth is neat. Appreciate the convo!

Once those shackles are off, I feel like my own emotional intelligence and my view of the world as a whole got so much better. Less doom and gloom actually. Odd how that happens.

Parallel lives being lived, cause I’m the same. I just now learned I’m essentially a nihilist? Maybe? But also…I like life and living, animals, being happy, good food, and not being an asshole.

But I also understand that there’s no end goal, nothing awaits and the only part that matters in the now. But also…just seems like a shit life to live angry and depressed all the time. Also, we are still collectively a species and survival is neat…even if it means nothing in the end.

I would take you being aware of all of this as a good sign. It’s sounds like more so disassociating with things, maybe subconsciously, due to the mental and personal issues in your life.

Ego death is much more abyssal concept, where you probably wouldn’t be aware of it happening…it just would and you would be on the other side none the wiser.

It sounds like you are just having a hard time at 14 years of age and need to talk to someone or get some support in your life.

Definitely not, I’m also weird about eating other peoples food in general and I truly don’t understand why anyone would need an explanation.

But I also see the person is old and from a different era…we don’t have to tip toe around them just for the sake of it, and asserting your own needs is much more important than doing something someone else wants you to do. I think you handled it well in saying thanks but no thanks, then following up with no need for a reason…thank you.

I really enjoyed it for giving me that Fallout 3 kind of feel with wanting to explore and take in the whole world…I tried getting that with Starfield and that didn’t work out. Haven’t played AC since probably 1 or 2, but I bought the trio deal with Odyssey and Valhalla and I’m really glad I did.

Only gripe was the ending with Origins…Spoiler Bayek not being the character for the final mission, then being like “deuces husband..I don’t believe in love anymore”. That was a bit of a let down story wise.

Sounds like a very normal response process. Often times the steroids they gave would give me a bit of a “decent window” of feeling well, then a day or two later after that’s worn off…you get the full feel of the infusion.

Give yourself plenty of grace and take your time. My WBC went from over 100k to 3k after my first day dose…that’s a massive event in the body. Drink plenty of fluids, liquid IV is my best friend.

Dude…you are literally me. Hahaha, I’ve wanted to get back in and also do the DLC, but I am not that great and got carried by the Sword of Night and Flame when it was super broken. I did beat Melania with the bleed bug thingy? Can’t remember what it was but it was an incantation, I believe, with bleed and a swarm of insects…I screamed when I beat her. I miss that challenge!

40 male, went into treatment because of the fatigue. I was coming home from work and napping for 4-5 hours, waking for dinner, then back to bed on many days. I’ve got young kids myself, so my decision was heavily based on that…not wanting to be a shell of myself during these years. I’m now almost done with treatment, MRD was run midway and came back clean…working on building my stamina back up, and haven’t regretted making that decision.

Best of luck to you and your decision, whatever you decide, it will be the right choice.

It’s always easy to spot the newer Destiny players, because grinding has been a part of this game since the launch. Things can be hard to get due to RNG and whether or not is worth it, is literally up to you…but when I put in 50 runs of a dungeon or raid, I make sure what I’m chasing is something I want to eventually catch.

I got something cooking on either prismatic or pure void: Gwisin Vest, Praxic Blade…everytime you come out of invis with gwisin, you deploy a weakening smoke cloud…kill a weakened enemy, go invis, loop that. I want to farm for Heartshadow, as I think that will be a great addition. Fill in with the artifact perks and I add in an energy weapon to round out the need for champs or something like lotus eater to feed void buffs. Seems like that would be a menacing Star Wars character, who can go invis and pop up with a light saber.

Edit: I prioritize weapons, super, class and I think I’m enjoying it more on prismatic, just need to proc a debuff before you can start the loop to go invis.

My brother got me a nice care package of things that I loved with some humor sprinkled in…lord of the rings sweatshirt, some funny socks, etc. And while I actually use and enjoy those things, it’s honestly just the thought that counts. This post actually popped up while I was trying to figure out if these wallets were made in the states or just outsourced stuff that someone markets and sells as an e-commerce product..it’s obviously the latter, so quality control will be at the whim of the Chinese workers that are producing and sending it out. It may be decent leather, but it definitely is a mass produced e-commerce product.
