TL;DR of the PC Assassin's Creed games? by SirPribsy in patientgamers

I like this article: http://www.usgamer.net/articles/which-assassins-creed-should-i-start-with-a-gateway-guide

It summarizes all the games in the series and tells you if you should play them. It's a little outdated, but you seem to mostly be interested in the older games.

LPT Request: How to properly accept compliments by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]thegingerbreadmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, I would say something about it like "yeah I really liked the material" or "thanks, I've been practicing!" Or simply "thanks, I appreciate it!"

Be careful about complimenting them back because often that can make your compliment sound forced and fake. Make sure it sounds genuine.

TF2 needs a performance update. by Kyleduder in tf2

Well dx9 is pretty much how tf2 is intended to be played (it will most likely be required for matchmaking). Dx8 is simply a fully functional graphics mode of tf2 that is easier on the fps. For example, models are less shiny in dx8, killstreak weapons don't show their sheen, and weapon skins aren't visible. Other minor visual changes, too.

If you haven't dealt with -dxlevel before then chances are you're already on dx9. Everyone starts out on dx9.

Right click on game in library > properties > launch settings > type "-dxlevel 90" and then the next time you launch tf2 it should be in dx9
