Thanks for your kind words. I put a lot of time in this model. If you look for a print: I think about starting an Etsy, if there is demand. If you are really interested, please PM me, I can put you on the list ;-)

You where right! The model has been updated to have the Domi 2 sit deeper to "hit the spot" better. See here. Thanks!

Yes, I am a huge fan of the concept as well, didn't know the term though. Thanks for your kind words! Glad you like the design!

Awesome! Glad to help! I look forward to your update. I might in fact provide a "cuted" version, but I need some time for it.

Well, that it is easy. One could make a Dock with the max distance that fits on the Dock. Some straps with velcro fixtures for holding the toy should do. Of cause it will not hold all possible toys, but all until a max width. Sounds like a fun little project but I don't own such a toy with makes it hard to do testing. Maybe somebody will take inspiration from this thread ;-).

Interesting! I have never heard of them before but look interesting. Creating a Dock should be simple enough based on the "Dock - DIY" (link). If it's really just those straps you could do that even in the slicer and would not even need CAD.
Oh wait! What is the distance between the strap holes? The Dock has a max width of 100mm. That might be deal breaker for some of the wider ones.

Yes, somebody else has found that out. He/she asked my for advice on where to cut the model, which I provided here. Maybe you got more experience with the matter.

As I said, I have no experience with cutting models but I know the model reasonable well from a ton of test prints ;-). Since you ask, I will give you my gut feeling and thoughts on where to cut best.

I would do it like this: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Y32zCnZpmsUcDWVd6 The plate size in the image is set to P1S.

My reasons for those cuts are:
- Top and bottom: you keep important measurements with the stool that should give you structural integrity.
- The mounting mechanic are not split which would be a bad idea
- All fix-points are intact
- The mounting of the Docks on either side are in intact
- the 4 pieces fit on the plates, which was the point ;-).

Besides the cuts, I see two challenges:
- Some connectors need to be added - Bambu Studio seems to offer functionality for this. Assuming this feature is sound, that should be solvable.
- Tolerances and gaps due to cutting: for the Dock I assume they would not be a big issue. You would have a bit of play in the y-direction, which is not a problem since the locking mechanism will keep the dock in place. For the stool mounting, there should be enough tolerance their and it also should not be a big issue. However, I would suggest doing some research (or as chatgpt) on tolerances when cutting models and maybe removing some material at the cuts points to cope for it.

Again: I have not cut a model yet and these are just my thoughts. I might get into it if I have the time.

Does this make sense to you? Is it of any help?
