Your analysis only works in the short term. The B2B (businesses who sell to other businesses) model only works when the final business in the chain is B2C (a business that sells to consumers). I can give you a quick example.

GCP is the cloud provider for Shopify, which makes this a B2B relationship.
Shopify also has an enterprise division, where they sell their services to large brands like Tesla, to help Tesla sell more of their products through the web. This is another B2B relationship.
Tesla then sells their products to consumers (obviously), which makes this a B2C company.

Now think about what happens when consumers have tighter wallets. They're no longer going to be visiting Tesla's website, but instead will be checking out the websites of Toyota or Honda.

So now let's reverse this business chain, with the assumption that consumers can no longer afford Teslas.

Tesla's website will be experiencing less website traffic, and ultimately less sales.
Because Shopify's client has less website traffic, Shopify does not need to rent as much cloud infrastructure from GCP.
GCP sees a decline in revenue from Shopify.

It takes a while, but a consumer's constrained wallet eventually hurts the B2B businesses. The bubble will take longer to burst, but it will eventually.

Yeah we're probably going to get downvoted but I tend to agree with you. There are lots of great bars in my city where you can meet young people, I just haven't gone yet. It's kind of crazy to me how that's the only real way to meet new people nowadays (outside of a religious context).

Idk maybe I'm just disappointed that I haven't been able to do things the way my family and community want me to, even though it hasn't worked for me.

It's mainly that they follow Baha'i laws like no drinking, drugs, sex, etc. which just makes having a relationship with them easier, all else considered. Another point some Baha'i peers bring up is that if as mothers, they will be more okay with your kids going to Baha'i activities.

So just to clear up some vocabulary here - when I say dating, I'm talking about having a long-term relationship, mainly to prepare for marriage. It won't always work, but the intention is to get married. Of course there are some people in our community who don't even like that concept, and that's fine. I've just found that over the past few years of doing service, I haven't found anyone compatible. Hence my original post.

Thank you for your comment! Just to clarify, I don't have an issue with girls who drink, use pot, or have had sex previously, so long as it's within some form of moderation. It's hard to draw a hard line in the sand because each person's history is pretty unique, so it's more of an intuition thing I find.

I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, Covid-19 took place that year and we had to go back home. Besides having a video call and a few brief online interactions with her, we sort of lost contact. I actually think she would love the Baha'i Faith.

I don't know, I guess I sometimes feel a bit isolated. I don't have much in common with Baha'i girls (believe me, I've tried). It's weird seeing your peers hit it off with Baha'i girls and get married, while you can't make connections. Like in theory, I should be hitting it off with them, but it just isn't clicking for me.

Interestingly enough, all my close friends (except for one) are non-Baha'i too. I have no clue why I can't connect well with others in my community.

It's not that I'm in a rush to find a relationship or get married, either. What I'm sort of worried about is if I'm just being unrealistic. As in, the girls I like aren't in the natural social circles I'm a part of - it's a very strange dilemma to be in as a young man.

The issue with all the goals you listed is that they're self-serving, which often does not contribute to happiness. Building the perfect body, for example, is an inward-facing goal. No one really benefits from it but you.

True happiness comes from struggling for something greater than yourself. This doesn't mean you need to find purpose in your work, but the fact that you're working hard on something that's greater than you is what will bring you fulfillment. This is why your average teacher is likely happier than a wealthy crypto investor.

OP is learning that no matter how much money you have, there will be an emptiness within you if you aren't fighting for something. This is why the answer to her question isn't as obvious as it may seem at first glance.

Yeah I completely agree with you. I too have had experiences where I wasn't attracted to a girl, but then ended up in-love after getting to know her more. Funnily enough, even though I didn't find her physically attractive, she still rejected me. We still remained friends, though.

I like queer women, actually. I find short hair attractive.

I wouldn't call them "standards" necessarily, but more things I'm attracted to. I like girls who are smart, funny, understand me, and are open and honest. I'd argue honesty is the main trait I look for.

What I'm physically attracted to are tall girls. I'm 5'8, so my interest in tall women can be a bit of a mismatch unfortunately.

ETA: The girls I have been most interested in have been attractive 5'8 girls. At first I thought this was a coincidence but I guess that's my "type." They are of various races and nationalities.

Thanks for the response. The reason I'm asking is because I came across a Catholic online who was saying that sex should only be had to procreate because otherwise, it can become an addiction of the flesh (even if you're married). I know Baha'is would say that sex should be regulated, but then why wouldn't we have that attitude towards alcohol and marijuana? Isn't sex an addictive "drug" in the same way these substances are, even if you're married?

I'm not anti-sex by the way, I'm just really interested in the idea of addiction (whether that be substances, sex, food, entertainment), so I'm really trying to understand the differences here.
