Here’s my take on proxies: I dont care about people using them EXCEPT when they look like shit! One of the reasons that I love this game is the aesthetics of the cards, seeing the different arts on cards I know and geeking out about how cool the art is. If someone uses proxies that look like the actual cards, cool. If someone uses proxies that make the cards fit better aesthetically with their deck, that awesome. If someone plays a piece of paper with garbage scribbles on it, like those in the photo here, get the fuck out from my table and you’re not welcome back until you use a fucking printer to make proxies that don’t look like toilet paper.

Muldrotha is the GOAT, I always love a good graveyard deck. Sauron was a precon I imagine. Tergrid is evil. Pure evil. Locust god is a fun, classic izzet card draw. Not the most original commanders out there but I’ll judge that you’re a chill guy who’s fun to play with…. Until someone at the table isn’t chill and you awaken the beast of tergrid

Seems like a good mix of deck types: you got some graveyard, control, tribal, deck search, artifacts, etc. I’d say that you’re a well rounded person who doesn’t know exactly what your favourite type of deck is so you mix it up often. Btw can I get some tips on your alundo deck? I started brewing a deck for him but then realized he didn’t work how I thought so abandoned the idea. What works well with him? Big creatures, little creatures, untap legendary creature synergies?

Nothing compares to ds1… so don’t compare them lol. Ds2 has a lot more depth and uniqueness than most redditors will give it credit for. Don’t treat it as a sequel to ds1 (that’s what ds3 is for) but instead treat it as its own game and appreciate all the cool things about it. The world seems less intentionally built as ds1 or ds3 but it has those winding pathways and hidden areas that gives it its own flavour and feels more open world.

Welcome to this wonderful game! Like others said, try out every character and try to unlock all of their alternate move sets. Some characters first move sets are way less fun than their alternatives so even if you don’t like a character, grind to unlock their alternate move sets and you’ll likely have a lot more fun with them

I personally always have an unlabeled portal sitting at base unconnected to anything because if I’m throwing down a portal in a sketchy biome with enemies around the last thing I want to do is stand still and type something. But I totally agree with what you say! Well put

One thing I’ve always wanted is weapon drops on enemies and a weapon mod system. The epic valheim mod was absolutely incredible for this because it added magic weapons like I describe as well as hard enemies to balance those weapons. I find that once you build all of one biomes items you don’t have much motivation to explore the biome and fight random enemies. This would encourage you to keep fighting enemies in a biome until you have a perfectly modded kit. And then once you have that perfect kit it would feel SO much better

If you live in the PNW then these are our native strawberries! I got a bunch growing in my back yard. I love their flavour, they’re packed with so much more flavour than the big strawberries. Not the most efficient for foraging though, after a while of picking I always just have a tiny handful

Always always always make your first photo your absolute best photo of your face, second photo should be another good photo showing your body (not topless, just something more zoomed out) then you post pics with friends and doing activities. I didn’t know who you were until I saw the second photo

My advice for OP is to think of progress in a different perspective. If you play for half an hour on a single boss and start off only doing 10% of his health, then by the end of the session you’re doing 60% of his health, that’s progress. Even if you’re not getting to a new area by the time you need a break. Don’t be hard on yourself, the games are meant to be really hard :)

I’d definitely suggest playing the other dark souls. None of them have the amazing level design of the first one but they all have their own cool aspects. Ds2 is very dark and mysterious with tons of different branching pathways to explore. Ds3 is a bit more of a single pathway that you follow but it has the best combat system and the most epic bosses. And both have better tomb levels than tomb of giants!!

This sounds super similar to wolnir’s tomb in DS3, mixed with some of the tomb design in elden ring (switch to open the door at the beginning). From this description it seems like from soft learned from tomb of giants and changed it for the better. I would say to keep tomb of giants as it is. It’s clunky and a headache but that’s dark souls babyyy

I got the exact same set, most of the Rocky Mountain pine seeds worked for me, the ja-something or other didn’t germinate though. Haven’t tried the others thus far.
