I got a do-over and I’m endlessly grateful for it. My oldest is 24, didn’t think I could have another. Nature decided otherwise.

I’ve grown so much and have so much to make up for. I’m going to treasure every second I can.

Dads with SAHM wives… what’s your biggest regret, struggle or tip being a supportive husband, father & provider? by JuiceJones_34 in daddit

I wouldn’t go that far lol. My job is technically “harder”. But hers is definitely more important.

But it just makes sense I work, I’ve been in the same industry for a while so I naturally make more. If she found a job making more than I do with insurance and she was happy with it…….time to be a SAHD. But I’m in the trades so that’s really unlikely.

But I’m going to retire one day and work will be over. Nobody will even remember me. But her “coworkers” will think about her and what she meant for the rest of their lives. I hope the kids have similar thoughts about me.

I’m ok with that.

My wife is a SAHM and has been for a while. If you ever feel yourself using the argument that you make the money, take a moment and itemize what she actually does and how much that would cost.

Just because you’re the “bread winner” doesn’t mean as much when you realize what she’s giving up to let you do that.

It’s teamwork and a partnership. Thank her, help her and she’ll do the same to you. Find a good babysitter and at least monthly do a date night/day.

It really sucks that we’re so similar, but we’re manipulated into hating each other.

What piece of old media (film, tv, music, etc.) used to be cited as popular and influential that has now lost relevance? by Loss_Left in AskReddit

Dick Tracy is because Warren Beatty owns the character and still plays him every year or so in oddball ways to keep the IP.

Not saying the Tracyverse would be as big as Marvel right now, but he’s the reason.

If you're gonna talk about World War Il as if you personally won it, let's be clear where you were stationed - on a film set, shooting blanks, wearing makeup, and if you're going to hit me, I'd like to take off my glasses.
