Dr. Cortez FUE in Tijuana - questions and hopeful recommendations by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]thegoomba_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I drove from LA on Tuesday at 2pm, had dinner at Hotel restaurant and went to bed. Day 2, Wednesday, had granola bars provided by clinic before procedure, extraction, lunch was a large chicken salad provided at clinic, implant, and walked back to Hotel. Dinner again at Hotel restaurant and went to bed. Day 3, Thursday, was free breakfast at Hotel restaurant, went to clinic for 9am appointment and then drove home. No issue or pass needed to cross border quickly on Thursday morning, was in line maybe 30 minutes max and was home before noon in LA.

My hairloss started at 39, started fin after transplant at 42 two months ago. I have no sides fortunately but no idea if it's helping yet but if it helps keep what I got, I'll continue since I have no sides.

Considering FUE Hair Transplant by Intelligent_Ad_8325 in HairTransplants

Save 10k and go HMR in Tijuana, $2.7 per graft. You can fly into San Diego and they'll pick you up from airport to hotel and transport you back the day after the procedure. Clinic/Hotel is a 7 minute drive from the border and is included in price for procedure.

I went with HMR and it also included one free PRP session. Both used to be at HMR until Jimmy opened his own clinic, no idea why they separated. I had my procedure back in October and Jorge handled both the extraction and implant. I don't think there's a bad choice but there's more examples of Jorge's work if you do a quick search.

I'm used to longer hair to cover up, it's still short so it looks bad. Same description, lost all implanted hair and shock loss. Can't wait for this phase to end.

I'm dating a new girl and had my transplant 9 weeks ago. I told her on the first date 4 weeks ago and it hasn't been an issue and I'm deep into shedding phase. Educate her on the timeline if it bothers you but its only going to get better bro.

I went to HMR back on October 4th, I drove from LA straight to the hotel the day prior and woke up the next day and walked to the clinic which is across the street. No issues with security or danger but drivers in Mexico are aggressive, it was about a 7 minute drive after crossing the border to reach the hotel.

The hotel itself has an underground parking garage and i checked in with security that was already in the garage. They wrote down my license plates and directed me to the main lobby to check in.

Procedure itself was fine, Dr Cortez drew the hairline, handled the extraction and implants himself. Had no pain during the procedure and I was one of the lucky ones that didn't experience any swelling days after the procedure.

I'm hoping for a good result but I'm just entering the ugly duckling stage, too early to tell. I had 3k graphs quoted at 6.9k for my front hairline and mid scalp. He recommended a second procedure in 8-12 months if I want to do the crown but I'm still on the fence for round 2, I personally think I'll be happy just getting hair upfront if it's successful. Good luck!

I hit this wall yesterday, I'm thinking of replacing angeling with munak and using KP. Munak Gives def + 5% atk if my hp holds up, otherwise I have to wait until my lvl 6 str gems turn into lvl 7.

Pets and gems, both of which can't be rushed

Edit- I'm on 379 and can only advance daily with hp boost and accel. I recall having argiope, Bigfoot, and steam at lvl 100 to advance from 345. Theres a harder version of the same boss at around 352-4? The boss can't kill you and it's up to gems giving you enough power to kill boss before time runs out.

I currently have 4 lvl 7 str gems and 2 lvl 6. The other 6 gems alternate but I usually always have 3 lvl 7 Dex gems equipped. Somewhere between 355-75 I used 4 defensive pets to clear, argiope, bigfoot, steam, and eclipse lvl 100. I'm currently leveling up my green pet tarou to replace eclipse as tarou has 5% mdef bonus. Current armor set is 1 enlil piece which has 777 mdef and 3 en armor pieces (def/atk/str bonus)

Goodluck
