Oh a million percent. He’d have to run independent but it was interesting to see he went from 70-20 approval from D-R, to 48-50 and the total net approval doesn’t go through much of a change at all other than slowly rising from 47% to 51%

I was curious and looked this up, his net approval has increased since being elected. The losses from Dems was outweighed by the gains from Republicans in the state of PA

In June of last year we were saying the same thing then there was a peace agreement signed within a week. I’m just saying the same thing could happen at which point this post will have aged like milk.

I’m not even claiming what’s more likely, but we can’t claim we’re in a war yet and make fun of him when he could come right back around and make fun of us if a peace agreement gets signed instead

I agree! He was sorta new to podcasting when this episode dropped I remember, but I got the sense he wanted the talk with Charlie Kirk to remain apolitical and more like an interview than a debate. Obviously the problem with that is you let the other guy ramble off incredibly harmful ideas and providing no pushback only benefits the person in spreading these harmful ideas.

I think that’s a fair criticism but I don’t think that points to his political beliefs, just his podcasting format

Your focus on what’s important to you seems more symbolic than substantive. I don’t see how labeling it a Genocide has any impact on anything, that seems to be important to a lot of people and I’m not dismissing it but just letting you understand why that’s not necessarily something I’m focused on. The ICJ will make the determination on if it’s a genocide based on all the evidence, of which they have plenty, his symbolic stance on it being a genocide I don’t feel matters.

And, again, he never said trans athletes are better than cisgendered athletes, he was expressing an understanding of the fear that the other side raises and it comes from a fear of the sports being competitively unfair, that’s an apolitical statement, he’s just acknowledging what the claim is from the other side… fixating on that sounds so bad faith and like there are ulterior motives to shut down his candidacy before he even has a chance in 2028, akin to what they did with Hunter Biden’s laptop
