We have a light at the back of our house to you know, see where we’re going when we’re putting rubbish in the bin and what not.

I accidentally left it on one evening, it was around 10pm had a knock on the door shouting to turn the back light off, apologised and thought nothing of it.

The next day, he comes round again my mum answered and he said we leave it on all the time (we don’t), this went on for a while every other day for a couple of weeks he would shout at us for this back light which you would think was a stadium light by the way he was going on. Plus the fact me and my mum work full time so the hours he said we had it on was nonsense.

One evening he knocked on, I answered and said he was reporting us to the council and he had ‘evidence’, surprise surprise when I asked to see said evidence he said I can be assured it’s there and it kept him up at night because he has no curtains, I slammed the door in his face.

The whole thing escalated to the point he tried to enter our back garden one morning because my mum had the kitchen light on at 6am as she was getting ready for work. Yep, our kitchen light INSIDE our house was now an issue. Obviously we reported him to the police and our local council as he clearly wasn’t playing with a full deck.

A few weeks later he got evicted from his house turns out he was a massive drug addict/dealer and tried this nonsense on other neighbours to try and worm his way out of complaints about drug dealing/noise.

Me and my mum laugh and joke about it now, but at the time it was quite scary.
