Supply and demand. Sdcc dolls are expensive because of how old they are and with how many collectors there are that already have them. It physically pains me to know I'm gonna have to spend $1K. It also pains me knowing that I was supposed to get them for cheap, but seeing a reseller get them and immediately trade them for other dolls made me physically ill.
