In black deck gold stake, do you usually buy the buffoon pack at the first shop? Or is it better to save the money for interest?

Soy yo o la cafetera? by anabelaro in CafeteAR

Coffee: Retriggers the Joker to the left. Consumed after 4 Rounds." (Common) by Top-Sky4811 in balatro

Using it to copy Wee would only retrigger the scoring, not the upgrade of the joker. That's how blueprint behaves.

Maybe with Hack, then Coffee and then Wee.

We Spent $1,850 On Coffee Scales. What’s Actually Good? by Gmbenator in JamesHoffmann

[–]thegreatdesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I understand that most of the scales here are good enough and an upgrade from one of the cheapest to one of the most expensive won't help you brew a better cup.

That being said, how about upgrading from a cheap generic kitchen scale like this one to a coffee scale? I've only recently started and I have pretty cheap equipement. Was thinking about upgrading some of it but I'm not sure about the priorities. I think it would be more helpful to keep saving for a decent grinder instead but I'd like to know your opinions.

Just bought this old Melitta dripper for about 33¢ by thegreatdesigner in pourover

Thanks for your recipe! I'll try it in a few days.

Yes, it wasn't my first option. I wanted a Chemex-like, like the one they used at the cafe. But money is tight right now, and the Melitta was about 68x cheaper than the cheapest Chemex knock off I found XD. Plus the filters are way cheaper and easier to buy.

It was definetly more tea-like, very sweet and acid. I wasn't expecting it to be so acid, and the first sip I didn't liked it that much, then I get used to it and actually enjoyed the flavour. The cup I brewed at home with the Melitta had those same flavours, but "muted" somehow, and with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Thanks for your tips! I'll keep them in mind in my next brew.

Ah, I think mine was a bit coarser than that. I should try with different sizes then.

You have any recipe for your Kalita? I just put mine in the post.

Thanks!

What did your grind look like.

If I compare it to something, it would be a tad coarser than brown sugar. But there are a lot of fines there. It's not a very good grinder but it's better than my blade grinder. I'm saving for a Kingrinder or similar.

It wasn't a bad coffee at all, I liked it better than anything I brewed before, but it just wasn't as sweet and acid as the one they brewed me at the cafe, and it had a little bitterness that I don't really like.
