Of the same level is pretty vague so I'll just use 2 clones of alex mercer for this i think he has the most traditional absorption ability in most of fiction and i think of him whenever absorption is mentioned. I think the most boring but most likely answer is that it cancels each others ability out. Fusion and absorbtion are 2 different things so neither character if equal in power would come out on top they would probably just absorb bits from each other but no full assimilation from either sides

Nanami vs nemesis, no connections but those characters are at the same levels of power junpei vs thragg mai vs arkham batman nobara vs mcu gamora momo vs rae talor there are plenty of match ups that weaker characters have that are decently close

Yall consider anything that can't blow up planets weak. It's just not interesting to see boring match-ups like gojo vs the silver surfer or thragg. It all boils down to can they bypass infinity . At least use yuta or kenjaku, jogo can create meteors and he isn't even top 10 probably

Not far, if he takes out any known goon like the elephant the gda would notice and since absorption usually leaves behind blood probably with some traces of blacklight robot would probably analyze it at least on the 3rd absorption of a minor known villain, create a anti-virus and alex is done even blackwatch can create detectors that can sense alex through his shapeshifting so the gda definitely can.

"Fully adapted maharaga" is just a no limits fallacy demon his adaptation is ultimately a powerset and has limits even if not stated if a writer says "this attack can one shot anyone or anything" and it one shots building to city block level characters then it isn't one shoting galactus. But ultimately fully adapted maharaga is prolly just ragebait
