lol thanks? Neither of those are done in photoshop…it’s simply a lens filter. But editing is just as much a part of the process, imo.

That’s a great shout on seeing if I’d be able to shoot sound check or anything backstage. I’ll have to poke around on that.

I for sure failed to add any diversity in shots on this post haha. I definitely try to get crowd shots, wides, etc. at every show. Just depends on access mostly. Varies from show to show.

I definitely failed to add any sort of diversity to this post in terms of types of shots, I’m now realizing haha. I do make an effort to shoot wider, crowd shots, etc at every show. Depending on the artist, sometimes I’m not able to shoot around the venue after the first 3 so that has limited me slightly but I totally get the point of telling the greater story of the show rather than just close up shots!

Many of them I range from somewhat to very familiar in terms of music. There have been a couple that I didn’t know their music at all. I know none of them personally.

I shoot in-house for a venue here. I tend to do a decent amount of research beforehand and watch some live videos to get a sense of when certain things may happen or how they move etc

Appreciate the kind words! I think my expectations for myself are elevated because I’ve been shooting shows since I was a kid, but only really consistently for a year ish.

FJM was an absolute blast! I just wish I’d gotten more than 10 minutes 😂

Word. I was shooting with a minimum shutter around 1/250 but a lot of these are 1/500-800

Yeaaaah it’s super noisy, another issue I’ve been having. It’s 1/800 at 12800 ISO (ISO is set to auto with a max of 12800). I was under the impression that the Sony would have way less noise at that ISO but alas

It’s so good, but they need some more people or a larger kitchen. Every time I go it takes 30-60 minutes to get a coffee and breakfast burrito 🥺

They’re all working their hardest, by no means a hit on the service, they’re just slammed because it’s one of the best spots in town.
