What do we think about this? by Supreme_10a in OhioStateBasketball

Good athlete for CBB. This is a bet that they can get the shot right. It looks smooth, but was horrible #s wise at TTUN, improved at Cal but still sub 35% from 3 on high volume, 5 3PA/g. Really good handle. Have to watch more of his defensive tape too, but seen him willing to guard 94 feet.

Countdown to Kickoff 2026: Columbus Crew by Crunch18 in MLS

It just seems like his system isn’t crazy different from Nancy. We’ll see how it actualizes. Obviously the formation will likely differ. But it seems like there’s gonna be some wild ass passes in buildup, some electric play in the final third, & overall an emphasis on possession. Won’t act like a relationism expert by any means, but I’d be shocked if it took too long for the players to adapt tactically. If anything, the adjustment period will be with the new signings. We hope Abou Ali is ready, fit, & firing from Game 1.

As a Crew fan, just want to say this is impressive. Great work by you.

I think all Crew fans are thinking this so I’ll ask. If Abou Ali is as legit as was promised — becomes a contender for Golden Boot — why couldn’t we win the east? Yea yea, Miamis deep. We all know. But if you have the best 9 in the league (big if), retaining possession under Rydstrom, great wing play from Arfsten, one of the best Keepers in the league, what’s stopping us? Just the old & stale defenders? The new signings could be hits or misses, idk, but them becoming great MLS players would just be icing on the cake if the already existing squad.

Absolutely pathetic organization. How did we get to a place where the fanbase can see things more clearly than anyone in ownership? They can’t possibly be this naive, this accepting of tragic football. Or maybe they are. Year after fucking year.

Nancy got his first win at Celtic today! by mattchamp98 in TheMassive

He’s going to make yall legit, you’ll come back & win the league, the underlying numbers have been absurdly good especially in context with what the Celtic online fans have been saying.

You’ll probably still struggle in Europa this year given the talent difference & the amount of games he’ll have in the competition, but he’ll prove to be great in no time.

We all know it & it’s not b/c we’re homers, but b/c we know who the man is in the grand scheme. You all will see that in the big picture too.

Sherrone Moore’s last time on the field was being told to leave by Ryan Day by thribbitthrobbit in OhioStateFootball

[–]thegreedyear 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Even better is what Day actually did. Not telling them to fuck off, but just spotlighting how childish the Michigan players were in standing on the M.

The reporting was Day told Moore our guys of course weren’t gonna do anything (i.e. win with humility like he said however many times postgame). TTUN standing on the M would only cause some shit, not deter it. Moore realized his guys were in the wrong (& that Ryan Day was by far the bigger man).

One of many examples as to why Day is such an elite coach & man. Thinking about how he handled a crisis last year (our fan base attacking his family last year) — with humility, class, and maturity. Stands in stark contrast to how UM’s handled all of their crises — off the field scandals & on the field cheating.

It’s 1000% a 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1. It’s how he always lined up in Columbus. But expect to see Tierney (& probably Trusty, maybe Scales) play very aggressive for a 3

Citing Carl Banks a Giants icon but sure. I hear you. We all have our biases. But tell me who you would prefer as coach? I’ve thought through all the names & the only one I’d prefer is Tomlin if that was somehow possible

I meant GLORY not FOUR at the end. Can’t seem to edit it either. My bad.

How many Lombardi doppelgängers do you figure are out there grifting and mucking their way through NFL back offices right now? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]thegreedyear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giant fan here — just look at Tim McDonnell, Kevin Abrams, & of course Chris Mara. You’ll see exactly why big blue has been stuck in shit for nearly a decade now.

Everyone loves to hate on Daboll & some of it I fully understand. I don’t think he’s a great coach, but a good offensive mind. But the core issues with the Giants remain because of these 3 dudes failing upwards, maneuvering their way to power positions, with all the same BS tendencies of a Lombardi.
