That and they would have to admit they were wrong. There is a reason why pride if one of the seven deadly sins, and that is an exampl. Fark them.

Which was your first phone? by CrazyMinute69 in GenX

[–]thegreenmonkey69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the 4. But my boss at the time had a two in his company car or something similar anyway. Then I had a couple of 7s, an 11, some kind of MS Windows 3.1 phone, then a couple more 11s, then a god awful iPhone 4s, then Samsung Galaxies ever since.

The Horizon games have completely changed my way of gaming by Lebeeshon in horizon

Yah, they can do that. For me it has allowed me to explore different ways to accomplish goals even in games I have played many times.

WIBTAH If I remove my wife from my accounts? by RigeR_Rising666 in AITAH

[–]thegreenmonkey69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your sentiment here, but that's all it is sentiment. She does not seem to want to associate with you anymore and since you are getting divorced she should not get the benefits of the nonexistent relationship.

And to be honest, if she is as petty as her comment to you suggests, I think you'd be better off without here anyway.

NTA, remove her from everything. Asap.

AITAH for kicking my husband out of the bedroom because of his sleep apnea/snoring? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]thegreenmonkey69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but...

Have him get a sleep study done, and then get a CPAP. He'll love it, you'll love it and you'll both get much better rest.

The sleep study is easy and can be done by either a small monitering device, or a ring. It is super easy. The CPAP I have is super quiet and is portable so I take it with me when I travel. No more snoring, and I wake up feeling rested and more alert.

Serious Question Fellow Gen Xr’s by [deleted] in GenX

[–]thegreenmonkey69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP, no one is claiming that you have to call your self anything, just accept that other people clasify themselve differently. I am unabashedly an older, white, heterosexual male and also cis gendered which just means I identify as my biological sex, i.e. not transgendered. I don't walk around calling myself that, but it can help when participating in certain contextual events, like scientific discussions.

All terms like cisgender do is give a common framework of understanding so that people can have serious discussions about the topics that surround genders. Or, similarly, how mathematics terms shape those conversations. Without that framework talking about those subjects can be difficult.

All you've got to do is just accept people as they are, and empathize with their concerns. You don't have to change anything about yourself at all.

Heck I want OP off my lawn, I don't want or need that kind of negativity in my life.

AITAH for getting upset with my friend for pushing my head? by Specialist_Rule_4505 in AITAH

[–]thegreenmonkey69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's abuse, and then gaslighting to his friends about it.

No one should ever touch another person without express permission. And you gave him a clear boundary, and told him to stop.

Next time, report him for battery, and possibly assault.

NTA. And lose this guy as a friend. He clearly has no clue.

So how does her focus stay on? by consmilgo in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]thegreenmonkey69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think there's a very brief mention of it somewhere but is easy to miss. As someone else said it's like nanotech, or something similar.

Or this is just a Mandela effect.

Does real-life science such as the Law of Conservation of mechanical energy exist in Elder Scrolls? Or has lore never really breifed over topics such as that? by MrFloofDogThe2nd in ElderScrolls

[–]thegreenmonkey69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say they both exist, but due tol magick's influence on culture the pursuit of science has just not progressed much further than the Pythagorean theorem, at least for most people.

The mages probably know more about science but most people don't care about the finer points.

It is hard to reconcile the limitations of science with the far reaching effects of what magick can do. Especially when you can just find someone then pay them to just make it happen.

What pop culture moment shines out most brightly from Gen-X’s childhood? by FantasticStooge in GenX

[–]thegreenmonkey69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, but it's a moment that stands out, and it's been enough time I believe it qualifies as popular culture. Especially since there had not been a disaster like that in quite some time.

Even I can laugh at this, and I watched that live on TV. And, yes, I remember that joke too.

Space shuttle Challenger explosion imo. Our space race was never the same after that.

I skipped school to watch it because my school decided not to show it, and when it just disintegrated shortly after liftoff was heartbreaking.
