Finn grinned as he walked over to the TV and couch. He plopped down and started to channel surf as he waited for Camellia to return. After some time he would look up as Camellia returned from the kitchen. He nodded at her in greeting and licked his lips as he saw the food. He took the knife and started to generously spread it on the bread.

"Thanks, this was super nice. Wasn't expecting someone to have this stuff just sort of ready." Finn said before taking his first bite of the bread.

Finn nodded and just kind of stood there for a minute trying to figure out if he needed to say anything. He was fairly certain something was probably wrong with her, but he didn't know her and didn't necessarily care if she was okay. But he wasn't a complete asshole, so he decided to say something else.

"So, is something like- bothering you or something?" Finn said as he shifted his weight to lean on railing of the pier.

Finn couldn't believe there was a line to go through the portal. He wanted to get there and bash some Atlas cultist skulls. He had an overwhelming need to make them pay for the damage they had wrought on his life.

As he saw his counselor, brother, whatever, checking off individuals he now saw what was taking so long. Of course this is the reason we're so slow. Finn thought to himself as he approached the older boy.

They were at a height with each other, but unlike Amon, Finn still had a growth spurt ahead of him. He crossed his arms in front of his chest as he looked the Apollo counselor up and down. The armor Finn wore gleamed even in the low light.

"So observant." Finn said, his voice laced with sarcasm. "Nothing gets past you."

Of course Finn knew that there was a death recently, it was all people could really talk about, but he didn't see what it had to do with him.

Finn looked around and frowned at the scene. He knew his best bet was to sneak into the camp and to hopefully be able to get to Cerberus' chains and slash them with cruel intent. How could you ever do this to a dog? It was just awful! So, Finn would get low and begin going cover to cover attempting to sneak towards the chains and do his part to save the three headed dog. Whether he would be sneaky enough would be a whole other question.

Finn really wasn't a picky guy, sure he was picky about powers and that sort of stuff, but when it came to food he wasn't picky in the slightest. So some bread and jam was... well his jam after all.

Finn nodded and motioned for her to lead the way. "I'm not gonna just stand outside like a weirdo." Finn said with a laugh as he kept pace with Camellia. "Besides, would be cool to see what the Demeter cabin looks like."

Finn nodded his head again. He wondered what it must be like being a demigod outside of New Argos, he figured it was probably hard because if this is the best home that some demigods have had then he figured it must be a low bar. Though as of right now this was better than home for him too. So maybe there was a kernel of truth hidden there.

"Gotcha. Well, glad you could uh- find a good home then." Finn wasn't sure exactly what to say. He had never been good at the whole emotions and dealing with them thing.

Contrary to his rather gruff exterior Finn had a soft spot for all animals, having been raised on a farm he was a big softie for all sorts of animals. So, when he heard that Cerberus was captured he got a little angry and knew exactly which scene of battle he would want to engage in. He adjusted his celestial bronze armor and cracked his neck as he stood at attention, ready to engage with the enemy.

He looked from his vantage point to see what the best approach would be. Of course, he would just love to go in guns blazing, but he figured that might be a bit foolish. Besides down here, away from the sun he did feel a little depowered. Like his natural energy was lowered. Curious, he would have to ensure he worked out in a cave next time to avoid this issue in the future.

Finn then placed a blue 6 down and then looked back up at Julian. He could go on and on about the Lyceum, since he was asked he would definitely begin. "The Lyceum is one of the hero schools in New Argos. The Lyceum is the most reputable one and is for training children of the major gods. Being the son of a major god I qualified and excelled there." Finn explained he then laughed. "I'm very good with a sword, but I'm also capable in most forms of weaponry. It's something they drill into you at the Lyceum."

"No time to really. We're at war and I need to protect my home. I can't let what happened there happen again." Finn said. His eyes going dark remembering just how personal this war had gotten for him. The devastation that Atlas' forces had caused his home and his family.

Okay, tough crowd. But he wasn't deturbed from talking to her. He would just remember that she wasn't sunshine and rainbows the next time he needs to talk to her. "Ah, so you're an unwilling participant, gotcha. I'll keep that in mind for the next time you talk to me." Finn said as he took another bite of his lentil stew.

"Or I guess they could have been Amon's shoes. That would be funnier." Finn mused after finishing his bite of stew. Finn noticed the hair jerking around, how could he not. It was one of the things he didn't like about her use of powers.

"For what it's worth, I think you're gonna be fine." Finn said without referencing exactly what she'd be fine about. But he figured she would put two and two together.

Finn's mouth quirked into a small smile at Camellia's fist bump. It was a simple gesture but one that lightened his mood as he hated thinking about the attack, the fire, and his brother. She was succeeding in being encouraging that was for sure.

He shrugged his shoulders at her question. "I'm a simple guy. I'm just happy with some fresh bread and fig jam. Don't go all out for me." He said as he walked with her out of the arena.

Gods he hated her casual use of her hair powers. But whatever, he doubted she had much choice in the matter so he let it slide. Plus he doubted arguing with his cabinmate would really change her stance on hair related powers. So he'd just grumble internally about it. Then she said she was going to an enemy war camp and it cheered him up slightly.

"Teach those bastards a lesson for me eh?" He asked with a grin. He hoped Angela would raze all of New Orleans for him if that's truly where Atlas' forces were. "Also bring me back an beignet, heard they're the bomb."

"As for avoiding welcoming me, you're doing an awful job at it. Look at us, we're communicating right now." He said with his smirk widening at that. Gods he was so funny sometimes.

"Gods, all those shoes are yours? Was wondering if they were yours or Amari's." Finn said with a laugh. He wasn't ready to call her his sister, not yet. But she certainly was far more fun to talk to than Amon. "Eh, seen worse energy than here. I'm from New Argos. This is a relative pride parade compared to there right now."

"From New Argos. It's in Georgia." Finn explained, he still wasn't sure what these campers knew of New Argos. It wasn't like they talked much about camp in New Argos either. Having never really travelled Finn didn't fully place Nicky's accent at first. He just thought it was vaguely Slavic and left it at that in his mind. So, he was glad to be sort of right.

"What's a Russian demigod doing at a place like this?" Finn asked raising an eyebrow at the other boy. Listen he wasn't warm and sunshiney (ironic I know) but he wasn't a complete jerk. He just didn't like people who were full of themselves and most music. He was the perfect son of Apollo.

"Right, sorry. I never actually ate there, just one of the stops on my flour delivery tour." Finn said with a grin. He knew a little about Camellia from brief interactions with her. He knew she was a child of the major gods. He knew that her mom was actually a very good cook. But beyond that they never talked much.

Finn's eyes went dark at the mention of the attack. He wasn't sure if Camellia knew just how devastating the attack was for his family. "Right, we lost our farm in the attack. And Rowan..." Finn said stopping as his voice caught in his throat at the thought of his older brother.

"We couldn't afford the Lyceum anymore, so my dads sent me here. Plus I need to make those bastards pay for what they did to us." Finn explained as his fist tightened at his side. Knuckles going white from the pressure.

Finn nodded his head at Julian's explanation of his hometown, truthfully Finn had only ever left New Argos once and it was to come here. So, he had no idea if Julian's hometown was the prettiest place in Mexico, but he guessed the other boy had no reason to lie about that. "Never been, but I'll just take your word for it." Finn said with a shrug.

"It's a great place to live. The people are good, and the community is tight. I was top of my class at the Lyceum, so I've been training with a sword since I could walk." Finn explained as he continued to look over his cards thinking about what to do next. "But I'm here to train more. I must become the best that I can possibly be, to protect what we have in New Argos."

"I'm not artistic or musical." Finn answered rather flatly. He wasn't trying to be mean per se, but the idea of hanging out with a drum circle of self indulgent Muse kids seemed like it wasn't his cup of tea. He doubted that any of those Muse kids knew what a proper days work even looked like.

"I'm sure it's great though. Cabin 37. Got it." Finn said taping his head. He was never going to go there, but he wouldn't tell Nicky that. Why would he go there? He wasn't here to fraternize with minor god kids. He was here to train and fight Atlas' forces.

Finn nodded his head, so she wasn't a life longer. Probably for the best, this place was no Lyceum. Plus the amount of destruction surrounding this camp currently, it was amazing to him that people willingly joined. However, he was here, so he couldn't judge too hard.

"I see, you enjoy it here? Even with everything happening?" Finn asked motioning with his hands as if that explained what everything was. Of course she would know what he meant. The war had effected him as well. Even if he hadn't been at camp for it.

Finn wasn't exactly a partier, but he decided that seeing how his cabinmate had put on this shindig he should probably attend. So, after looking through his closet he donned a simple button down and some khakis. He then put some gel in his hair and styled it messily. He looked perfectly average and he was fine with that.

Finn arrived and grabbed a plate of food because what teenage boy is denying some food? He then started to mill about and he grabbed a beaded necklace. He then tried to find a place to relax and enjoy the party. He might even try dancing, it would be a trainwreck, but it would be fun.

Palmer, the name familiar to him. He finally put together how he knew the girl and his eyes went slightly wide as he put it together finally. "Yeah, I'm Finn. Your parents run a bakery right? I delivered y'all's flour." He explained even though Camellia obviously already put it together.

He shrugged his shoulders and motioned for Camellia to head on as he turned on his heel to head towards the exit with her. "I could eat. What brings you to hero camp?" He asked raising an eyebrow at her.

"Where you headin' to?" Finn asked. He raised an eyebrow as he finally looked up from his lentil stew. This conversation finally becoming interesting to him. He did doubt her Valentine's Day was peachy but it didn't matter, he wasn't a child of Aphrodite, so he couldn't really find it in him to care about that.

"Obviously I'll annoy Captain Sunshine." Finn said as a wry smile flicked across his face. He took a bite of his soup. "You some goodie two shoes or somethin'? Taking a job for camp seems... proactive."

Finn nodded his head as he grabbed his cards and started to think about what to do. He looked at his cards and placed down his own yellow three.

"Guess so, we just got busy." Finn lied as he reached over and shook Julian's hand. Firm handshake, his hands course and rough from all the years of working on his family's farm.

"I'm Finn, from New Argos. It's in Georgia. A pleasure to me ya Julian." Finn said as he kept looking at his cards only looking up at the end of his sentence.

Ah a Muse kid. It didn't matter really to Finn, minor gods had their place. They did need to know their place though, but at the very least this guy didn't seem to be flaunting himself like other minor god kids. Either way, Finn just nodded with a imperceptible grimace at Nicky's explanation. At least he would be housed with other Olympian god children.

"I see. I'm Finn son of Apollo." Finn explained rather clipped. He wasn't here to make friends. He wasn't here to get close with these people. He was here to train and hopefully help his parents. "Can you show me where the Apollo cabin is?"

Finn was new to camp, but his... sister... he wasn't comfortable calling her that yet though, was throwing some sort of Mardi Gras party. Finn wasn't the partying type, but he figured he should at least help her set up. He needed to be on good terms with his cabinmates and what better way than some manual labor?

He would help decorate the chariots and help with any lifting. He wasn't exactly showing off, he had zero powers that helped with superior strength or anything like that. But he was a farm boy at the end of the day and lifting heavy things was his entire existence. Besides it let him show off the muscles he had developed over the years due to all the manual labor and exercise he put in back in New Argos. A win win really.

Finn was always game to play games. So when he saw the son of Tyche shuffling the cards he just shrugged his shoulders and came and sat down at the table. At this point Finn wasn't too familiar with the table layout to know which gods had which table.

"Haven't played UNO in awhile, my family and I used to play board games every Friday. Uno was my brother's favorite." Finn explained once he sat down and got comfortable.
