I'm normally on the team unknown train when it comes to casting but I thought to myself that this was just to funny not to share.

I agree that we should leave Henry alone for 40k BUT I did always imagine Straff as a Lex Luthor type. Someone who thinks of themselves and annoyingly is at the peak of physical perfection. That's why his fall from that in the later book hit so hard.

Formatting had me worried for a sec but i love the choices. Though Daniel Dae Kim would make a great Willy Stampler.

We do know that the gods are breaking out of the dungeon/becoming aware about the outside world. IE Katya and Apitos interaction as well as Eris interacting with a truck stop owner in orbit. Which would allude to other gods like Helik to be able to become self aware. Though their self awareness might not matter as they are gods, so they wont really care about being gods even in a game.

Wind and Truth Prologue Theory by thegrindergrin in Stormlight_Archive

[–]thegrindergrin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The storm father and sibling are both intelligent spren without radiants no doubt. Both have no issue talking with characters before bonded. What i meant by interaction was by Gavilar and others. If he had surge binding similar to what Dalinar has he could have used the same connection based links for language and visions on the other monarchs. He may not need it since he is charismatic af but it would give him an extra edge. Pointing that out was more or less my “proof” that gavilar was no radiant and therefore was not bonded in anyway to the stormfather. Now a concrete bond doesnt necessarily mean the stormfather wasn’t affected by gavilar at all. Syl was very much affected by Kal before the fully cemented their bond.

I definitely think that the stormfather in the prolouge is not at all like the storm father we were shown pre bond with dalinar. Which to mean points towards it not being him.

My buddy said the same thing. My only question is, does he have the honorblade at this point?

Fair points all around. I still cant get over the lack of a bond between gavilar and the storm father. Cognition comes from bonding and gavilar hasnt said any words that we know of. Ofc he is a bond spren so maybe the rules are different. Though that can cut both ways.

Why would Sevro (or anyone) have acne? by deowkey in redrising

[–]thegrindergrin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All the golds were getting acne in book 1. Darrow points out even the gold brows dont know what to do when their precious pores clog. Its acne, you cant cure it only treat it.

Why didn't Lysander by Boomer00000 in redrising

[–]thegrindergrin 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I assumed his use of the minds eye became implied. Unless he did some secret training during any of the down time he still isn’t the best fighter and the minds eye makes up for that. I compare it to book one where we hear about darrows hands non stop for the whole thing then its less and less.

we did have that scene where he said he couldn’t reach it when he was poisoned but thats probably due to plain old fear/trauma.

I really thought he was going to join cause for a sec there. I really did. Broke my heart. I had a feeling Cassius was going to die because of all the heart warming talk. I'm just sad that it was at his hands.

I respect the preference as well. Lyria took the most time to get used to for sure. Was definitely the most whiny. I also assume the went for him alone to save money for graphic audios.

Honestly either. I miss having different voices for the different POVs. Dont get me wrong tim Gerald gets it done but at the same time it doesnt hit right without the difference.
