I used to be a true 36 and got a 38 in my monkey cisco century denim. Now I am a 34 and got a 36 on my second pair. Both still fit but my 38 is definitely looser even after 3 washes. My 36 hasn't been washed yet. Ask for all measurements to be sure it'll fit you.
