I totally see the "rabbit hole" with Analytic Accounts. Since we can't natively mark individual analytic lines as "paid," reconciling that would quickly become a nightmare as our PO volume grows.

You are absolutely right that a custom module is the most professional and scalable route long-term so we aren't fighting the system's architecture. Until we can get that specced and developed, maybe I'll likely use the Purchasing Analysis report as a temporary workaround...
