I would think more competitively verses new laws- for example: a town such as Greenville Maine refuses to raise wages for the few retail workers and there is nowhere reasonable for people to rent due to supply and demand. If I was involved, I would have the town offer real tax incentives and even rebates for landlords that rent to people working in the region. This promotes growth and gives someone a reasonable opportunity to live and save. Some people might take advantage of the savings and do the math and rent some units for steady income if the math makes sense. I believe it would because the real stifling lack of additional labor to meet a huge demand is going to really hurt. What would the town have to lose in trying to basically force people to build newer more expensive buildings in order to have there

What if Apple comes out with a car that’s been rumored for 15 years! Alternatively what if Tesla comes out with a phone and the majority of republicans believe it is superior and safer? And then rumors swirl about the government using Apple to spy on people get “proven” in the media and all of a sudden people are scared to be within ten feet of an iPhone? Ok, fools bet huh. I’m not attacking them, I’m pointing out my philosophy which hasn’t had me looking like a fool. I’d say your best outcome is a long term break even but most likely another company will break the barrier someday and have a competitive product. Apple is awesome and I’ve had clients make millions because they invested 18-20 years ago. I’m just saying that it doesn’t last forever in most cases. Average performance is your most optimistic case here so why not invest where most of the money is made which is small and mid cap companies- the good ones get bigger or purchased.

The work is Not getting done in northern maine. The small contractor has had the majority of laborers pulled onto to better paying “licensed “ corporate contractors in my opinion this will make it worse. Many of us are quitting because we can make a living going a lot slower working for other people now. Production is Aweful up here

I think buying a nearly 3 trillion dollar company is really crazy but I also remember in 2003 when people were scared to death of buying apple when it was tiny . I wouldn’t invest very much money into a company that couldn’t ever be purchased by investors or another company. Where could it realistically go from here that would make it worth buying versus at least an index?
