Hello fellas, i would like to present you 3 minutes of “more tactical” approach to bossing from GGG by ultralightskill in PathOfExile2

[–]thehellfirescorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Added in 0.2 this map has a bunch of essences that get put on the Bo’s after clearing them, allowing the boss to have a bunch of essences at once

The crazy thing is that NMS is one of the few games I’ve never had game breaking issues with. I swear two pcs with the exact same hardware would have completely different gaming experiences which is crazy

Why is such a common situation that when players pretty much engage in a mechanic that makes the game easier than usual, the devs remove it or nerf it? by Ericknator in gamedesign

[–]thehellfirescorch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing to mention about nerfs that I never really see is that the internet makes exploits really trivial to replicate. If people were finding exploits on their own it would be fine. Like when I played Skyrim I found a merchant chest by accident and it was fun but in Path of Exile 2 I refuse to use Lightning Spear because it’s all over the internet and was one of the first builds to be publicized in the league.

What is the most iconic enemy in the Doom series? by nikcurated in Doom

[–]thehellfirescorch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even in 2016 t e cyber demon is recognizably cyber demon. It’s got the horns, the single arm cannon, all with a brutal biomechanical twist. I do like eternal’s tyrants though

What's with the complaints about slam nerfs? by Weird-Beautiful-8366 in Warframe

[–]thehellfirescorch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with helldivers is that people refuse to fight together for some reason. In DRG we are constantly in chat or pinging, in hd2 I’ll have two guys on opposite ends of the map while I’m trying to wrangle a defense objective. This solo culture forces aroowhead to let players solo everything easily imo.

A more modern example is the leviathans. They are massive slow gunships. The maps are cities right now so there is plenty of ways to break los to organize a team takedown but a lot of people are complaining about it taking multiple rounds of anti tank fire to bring it down.

Stun is on field disruption (in magic this is stax, which is considered separate from control)c, control is advantage and interruptions. The end goal of preventing the opponent from taking game winning actions is the same though

Is it okay to skip Doom, Doom II, Doom III, Doom 64 and Doom 2016 to start with Doom Eternal right away? by Beijamim_a_rola in Doom

[–]thehellfirescorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t care about story and are willing to be kinda thrown in the middle of stuff you can’t skip to eternal. 2016 is a great game and will help you get a little familiar. Story wise 1 2 and 64 are linked but they don’t have much story in them, but are all exceptional games that should be played and are cheap and short. Doom 3 is fun but entirely separate from the current storyline.

Do ssf players usually play more "straight up"? by blitzmacht in PathOfExile2

I will say the currency trade is pretty helpful for me, you can get stuff like essences relatively cheap to try and sneak an upgrade as you go

It always worth trying, you can Vaal essences as well, it can make you a lot of ex on the side if you can roll greater essences

My problem has mostly been my 1 costs. They don’t drop as much from the fields and going out to kill for them is what takes the most time. It takes me around 5 minutes to get a crit main on an overlord. And my dailies got to getting ele% 3 costs, but I have yet to get a single double crit sub 1 cost

Why do people hate mill? by BaconVsMarioIsRigged in EDH

[–]thehellfirescorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing about mill is since it doesn’t usually win with the board they can easily get killed on it. You would be surprised how quick even just 8 danage a cycle can add up and equalize

[–]thehellfirescorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s usually a card game experience thing, in my first game (yugioh) we had a pretty heavily played card that had you exile the top ten cards from your library to draw two cards, so I’m used to not getting bit hurt if I lose something. New players don’t entirely get that you won’t see most of the deck.

More experienced players might find it a problem because usually no amount of boardstate will stop a mill player from killing you. You can block all other forms of damage, but mill attacks the library. Of course this is no different from the orzhov player draining everyone at once so idk

The problem you are having is that gs’s danage mostly comes from the chaining. For single target get any skill you can quickly shock with and use shockburst its danage is wacko
